As the Cathedral for the Diocese of Olympia, St. Mark’s serves the broader Church in a variety of ways, including serv- ing as a resource for ministry formation. Several clergy in this diocese and beyond served at St. Mark’s, or discerned their vocations in this community, and we are the richer for these connections and for the honor of serving as a center of vibrant ministry and formation in this diocese. Mideast Focus Film Series forum today: On Seeing and Not-Seeing in the Holy Land TODAY, 10:10 A.M., BLOEDEL HALL This year’s Mideast Focus Ministry Film Series raises the question “Who Counts?” In this time of doubt about who does count, we consider: Who counts when it comes to the news? In a Refugee Camp? In West Bank Settlements? Who counts among marginalized groups in America? Can we create a world where everyone counts? Join us for the series “kick-off” forum today at 10:10 a.m. in Bloedel Hall. Parishioner Ruth McRee will lead a discussion titled "On Seeing and Not-Seeing in the Holy Land," exploring her experiences of travel in Palestine in January 2016. An opening reception will be held on January 25 at 6:15 p.m. in Skinner Hall, followed by the first film screening at 7 p.m., The Occupation of the American Mind. Film discussion will be facilitated by Joel Connelly, a journalist at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. I did, had a great time, and mailed out CFR 25 after I returned. I had thought that this year's CFR would come together in a more relaxed environment. However, at this point, Laurie and I are rushing to get CFR "mocked up" so that the printer can send a bill to the English Department before March 28th; otherwise, the money promised to us will be sent back to the state on that date. If it isn't one thing. Speaking of funds and publication, the sharp-eyed readers among you will note that the cover of this volume says only "Volume 26"—no issue number.
