The team members were briefed about the progress of the university followed by the interaction and inspection, which yielded the 12B Accreditation to Bodoland University. IV IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. Date of issue of online Application Form for PG/M.Ed./B.Ed./Diploma/Certificate course : 20th July 2020 2. Last date of submission of Application Form : 20th August 2020 3. Declaration of merit list of selected candidates : 31th August 2020 4. Date of online admission for merit list candidates : 1st – 4th September 2020 5. Declaration of 2nd merit list candidates : 7th September 2020 6. Date of admission of 2nd merit list candidates : 8th – 9th September 2020 7. Date of commencement of classes for PG/M.Ed./B.Ed./Diploma/Certificate course : 15th September 2020 NOTE 1. The aspiring students must generate the UNIQUE ID in the Office Web Portal https://directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in/ as per the notification PC/HE/SOPD/11/2020/19 dated 4th July/2020 by Director of Higher Education, Govt. of Assam. To generate the Unique ID visit the link: http://dheonlineadmission.amtron.in/sp/ 2. For online admission at various courses visit at: www.bodolanduniversity.ac.in 3. Students appearing in final semester examination (UG/B.Ed.) are also eligible to apply in respective courses; except certificate and diploma courses. 4. For applying in different courses, candidates have to submit separate Application Forms. 5. All necessary documents to be uploaded must be scanned properly in PDF format. 6. All the files uploaded must be clearly visible and reproducible. 7. Size of the file/document (maximum 200 kb per document). 8. Applicants failed to submit the online forms may visit Bodoland University during st th office hours with all the relevant documents from 1 to 20 August 2020. 9. The above mentioned dates are subject to change as per Govt. notification due to ongoing pandemic. 10. The provisionally admitted candidates must furnish the mark-sheets of final examination as and when asked. Otherwise, the admission will be cancelled. 11. The Migration Certificate must be furnished whenever the University asks for. 12. The original documents are however subject to verification. 13. Anti-ragging a) Applicants will have to submit duly completed Anti-Ragging Form as and when asked by the University. b) Notification in regards to Anti-ragging form will be served separately. This university is the ideal destination for postgraduate studies, research and professional certificate and diploma courses in this region. The University is committed to groom youths of today to tomorrow’s world by imparting quality education, nurturing local talents and creativity, promoting community engagement, and encouraging entrepreneurship. The University envisions a unique academic and research paradigm shift by embracing and promoting liberal arts, social sciences, and science and technology education and research complying with the framework of New Education Policy 2019. The interdisciplinary curriculum provides ample opportunities for students to showcase their inner creativity in academic pursuit and assimilation of multi-dimensional skills to prepare to address contemporary and emerging socio-cultural, environmental, geopolitical, and technological issues of the region in particular and the nation in general. The academic ambiance in the lush green campus enables students to indulge in education with joy and pride without fear and stress. Making quality and affordable higher education accessible to all communities irrespective of caste, creed, sex, and all economic strata is the goal of the university. The teaching and learning in the University is comprised of classroom lectures, interactions, laboratory and field experiments, industrial visits, internship programmes in premier institutes and corporate firms. Laboratory and computing facilities are among the best in the region with a number of modern equipment, stock of reagents and high end computer. Faculties in the Universities are not only good teachers and mentors but are also friends to students and have the experience of moulding young minds into knowledge and transforming them into intelligent and responsible youths. Many faculties are recognized for their research at the national and international levels and have won laurels including Sahitya Academy Awards and have patent for their research. A number of projects under progress are being funded by Indian Council of Social Science Research, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Science and Technology, and Bodoland Territorial Council. Students on completion of post-graduation also have the opportunity to continue research and work in the ongoing projects. It is worth- mentioning that passed out students and alumni of the University are occupying high positions in and outside the state and a few are undergoing Ph.D. and higher studies in foreign countries. On all counts, Bodoland University is the only destination for postgraduate studies for students who are either appearing for final semester or have completed undergraduate studies. VI The campuses provide a home away from home with wholesome environment, secured without any ragging. We offer medical care and safety to all students. Director of Students Welfare and Hostel Wardens look after the individual welfare of students for their health, food and housing besides encouraging them to participate in sports, National Service Scheme, socio- cultural activities, social service in and outside the campus. Our students excel in sports, NSS, dance and music, recitation, science exhibition, quiz and debates and environment protection drive. The campus is equipped with state of the art in Information and Technology with provisions for WiFi for free internet and computer and printing facilities in the departments and hostels. The campus life is vibrant with activities. Library remains open till late night and on holidays. Sports and games facilities are extensive and University Market caters to the daily needs of the students including xerox, stationery, groceries and snacks. Students are considered as privileged members of the University family, and I take this opportunity to appeal the parents and students to seek admission in postgraduate studies and avail the facilities of the University for enhancing employability through quality education.
