26Th March 2021 Golden Jubilee of Independence Bangladesh
6 BANGLADESH FRIDAY-SUNDAY, MARCH 26-28, 2021 26th March 2021 Golden Jubilee of Independence Bangladesh Our constitution was made on the basis of the spirit of the liberation war under his direction within just 10 months. In just three and a half years, he took war-torn Bangladesh to the list of least developed country. While Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib was advancing to build an exploitation-deprivation-free non-communal democratic 'Sonar Bangla' overcoming all obstacles, the anti-liberation forces brutally killed him along with most of his family members on 15 August 1975. After the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib, the development and progress of Bangladesh came to a halt. The politics of killing, coup and conspiracy started in our beloved motherland. The assassins and their accomplices promulgated the 'Indemnity Ordinance' to block the trial of this heinous murder in the history. Getting the public mandate in 1996, Bangladesh Awami League formed the government after long 21 years. After assuming the office, we took the initiatives to establish H.E. Mr. Md. Abdul Hamid H.E. Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh as a self-respectful in the comity of Hon’ble President of Hon’ble Prime Minister of nations. Through the introduction of social Bangladesh Bangladesh safety-net programs, poor and marginalized people are brought under government allowances. We made the country self-sufficient Today is 26th March, our Independence and Today is the 26th March- our great in food production with special emphasis on National Day. This year we are celebrating the Independence Day. Bangladesh completes 50 agricultural production. The Ganges Water Sharing Treaty was signed with India in 1996. -
Group-Tour-Biking-And-Hiking-Tour
Tour Summary This is a multi- activity tour that takes you to explore the eastern Himalayan region of Arunachal Pradesh, the easternmost tip of India, a meeting point of the major tributaries of the river Brahmaputra, wherefrom the Brahmaputra valley is born. Surrounded by the Himalayan mountain ranges and the Patkai Range on three sides and Brahmaputra valley on the other, this region is historically the home of numerous ethnic tribes. Ethnically, culturally and linguistically these tribes are closer to those of its eastern neighbouring countries than to the Indian mainland. Each one of these tribes are unique in their language, food, textile pattern, headgear, machetes etc, but yet so distinct with strong Mongoloid features, tight knit society and their nonchalant ease in and around the forests. A large percentage of the population still depends on the forests and its periphery for survival. This tour will take you from the lower reaches of the Dibang Valley towards the wide and fertile Lohit Valley across territories of the Idu, Khamti, Miju, Chakma, Singpho and Tangsa tribes to name a few. Biking, Hiking, Village visits, Local food, Market visits, Wildlife sanctuaries etc will be the activities during this 12 day tour. Day 1. Dibrugarh to Roing Arrive at Dibrugarh airport, where our representative will meet you and then transfer to Roing by car (155 km / 5 hrs). The drive is a pleasant one as you cross the lush green tea plantations and rural Assam. Cross the river Lohit on a country boat and reach Roing by evening. Day 2. Roing Roing is the headquarter of the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh. -

Statement by H. E. Sheikh Hasina Prime Minister Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh 22 April 2021 Bismillahir Ra
Statement by H. E. Sheikh Hasina Prime Minister Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh 22 April 2021 Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Honourable President Joe Biden, H.E. António Guterres, Excellencies. Assalamu Alaikum, and good morning. I thank President Biden for convening the Summit and inviting me to speak to this august gathering. Bangladesh deeply appreciates the United States’ return to the Paris Climate Agreement and is keen to engage with the international community. Excellencies, Despite being a climate vulnerable country with resource constraints, Bangladesh has emerged as a global leader on adaptation and mitigation. Every year we are spending about 5 billion dollars, about 2.5 percent of our GDP, on climate adaptation and resilience-building measures. The 1.1 million forcefully displaced Rohingyas from Myanmar whom we have sheltered worsened our vulnerability. Bangladesh is pursuing a low carbon development path. To raise our Nationally Determined Contribution-NDC and adaptation ambition, we have included new sectors in addition to the existing energy, industry and transport sectors in the mitigation process. We are planning to submit a quantified ambitious NDC by June 2021. Excellencies, Bangladesh is observing ‘Mujib Year’, marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We are planting 30 million saplings nationwide and adopted “Mujib Climate Prosperity Plan” to achieve low carbon economic growth. As the Chair of the Climate Vulnerable Forum-CVF and V20, Bangladesh’s key focus is to uphold the interests of the climate vulnerable countries. We are hosting the South Asian regional office of the Global Centre on Adaptation which is promoting locally-led adaptation solutions. -
