With the University of Arkansas men’s golf team tied at 2-2 with Texas A&M for the 2009 NCAA Championship, Landry rallied from four down to even his match play dual with the Aggies’ Bronson Burgoon. Getting excellent position of the tee box at 18, Landry brought the Razorbacks to the cusp of its first-ever men’s golf team national title. Unfortunately after a clutch shot by Burgoon, Landry could not drain a 45-foot putt to continue the match into additional holes, allowing TAMU to escape with a title that earlier in the morning appeared to be a certainty for the Aggies. Six rounds of golf and five days into to the NCAA Di- 4-up by the 13th hole. But Andrew Landry, a senior for vision I Championship brought together two teams that the Razorbacks rallied winning the next four holes squar- had never reached a higher finish than fourth in the his- ing the match as the duo headed to the 18th.
