This course is ideal for those learners considering taking a year out after Leaving Certificate and those wishing to upskill for employment. Course content includes working with Microsoft Teams (similar to Zoom), Word, Excel, Presentation Software, Payroll, and Accounts software (Sage). All learners are provided with the loan of a laptop for the duration of the course which runs similar to the second level academic year (September to May). All course content is available online through Moodle as well as in-class tuition, this will enable more flexible learning - many of our learners have part-time jobs while successfully engaging and completing the course. The information presented includes status and risk categories of all water bodies, details on protected areas, significant issues, significant pressures, load reduction assessments, recommendations on future investigative assessments, areas for actions and environmental objectives. The characterisation assessments are based on information available to the end of 2015. The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the situation in the catchment and help inform further action and analysis of appropriate measures and management strategies.
