Campers will explore new dive environments and gain the skills necessary to plan and execute advanced dives in a safe manner. A certified NAUI SCUBA instructor from The Florida Aquarium dive operations staff will lead the skills refresher and open water diving. Campers must have an Open Water SCUBA certification before June 1, 2019. Campers must pass drift diving skills, mapping, navigation, data collection, deep diving and a limited visibility dive in order to obtain Advanced SCUBA certification. All waivers must be turned in before June 7, 2019. Campers with asthma, breathing conditions, ear tubes or other medical conditions must provide doctor’s approval. Advanced SCUBA certification is not guaranteed. Only those who successfully demonstrate skills will be certified.
