A LOOK AT THE 2020 SEASON

Coming off a season that saw them win their third consecutive Big Ten title and appear in the College Football Playoff s for the third time in six season, the Ohio State Buckeyes kick off the 131st season of football on Oct. 24 with their sights set on big things in 2020. FIELDS DIRECTS HIGH-POWERED OFFENSE In his fi rst year as a starter for Ohio State in 2019, Fields put together one of the greatest statistical seasons by any Ohio State player ever. He became the fi rst quarterback in Big Ten history with 40 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing TDs in the same season on his way to being a Heisman Trophy fi nalist. Fields threw for 3,273 yards, completed 67.2 FIELDS percent of his passes and had a nation’s-leading 41-to-3 touchdown to interception ratio. Justin Fields was a fi nalist for the Heisman Trophy last season as a fi rst-year starter, throwing for 41 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Fields was at his best against the best. In the Big Ten Championship Game against No. 8 Wisconsin, he throw for 299 yards and three touchdowns joined by left tackle Thayer Munford. The Cincinnati native has started 26 while leading the Buckeyes back from a 21-7 halftime defi cit to win 34-21. games over the past two years and played in 38 of 42 contests since 2017.
