HCRP is starting a training certification process that we are encouraging precinct chairs and your volunteers to go through. There are 3 different training programs with corresponding "action items" that you will complete to become fully certified. We want to have the most informed and action­oriented grassroots activists in Harris County and this certification program will help us get you all ready with a thorough and organized curriculum. Join the Training and Development Committee for their volunteer training session to start your certification process!

IN MEMORIAM

We are sad to report that Mrs. Billie Whitefield ­­ an indefatigable, principled conservative stalwart and long­time party leader who helped build the present­day Harris County GOP ­­ passed away this week. Here is a link to her obituary.

Billie will be remembered at a celebration of her life on Friday, April 7th with a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 4300 N. Shepherd Drive, Houston, TX 77018.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 4300 N. Shepherd Dr., Houston, TX 77018; or the Friends for Life animal shelter, 107 E. 22nd Street, Houston, 77008.

IN MEMORIAM

We are sad to report another loss to our conservative family. Mr. Carol Edward Belton passed away last week. Carol and his wife Gerry contributed greatly to the growth of the Republican Party in Harris County, and we can continue to see that work through his son, GOP activist Tim Belton.
