Both the Monthly and the MAA began with strong Midwestern and Missouri influences, something which our section can look back on with well-deserved pride. Missouri MAA members have consistently advanced collegiate mathematics, mathematics education, mathematics research and scholarship, and public appreciation for and understanding of mathematics in both Missouri and the nation.
