Fest Jazz is a festival whose popularity is growing every year. It offers a range of popular and dynamic jazz. There is no elitism here, no pretentious musicians. Instead the ambience is relaxed, with a young and festive spirit. Specta- tors can roam freely between the five stages on the banks of the Aulne at Châteauneuf-du-Faou, one of the prettiest corners of Brittany. 120 mu- sicians, 45 concerts and hundreds of dancers everywhere!

Gunhild Carling will be present at Fest Jazz 2017! Gunhild is a real star of world jazz, Here are just some of the places where she has played since September: Central Park in New York, Bangkok, Argentina, Brazil and Indonesia. Multi-instrumentalist, dancer, singer..come and discover this amazing entertainer at Fest Jazz on 29th July .It’s going to be an electrifying concert!
Agathe Iracema will also be part of the cast of Fest Jazz 2017, with the Agathe Jazz Quartet! Encouraged to become an artist since her earliest days and backed by the great lady of jazz Sheila Jordan, she formed her first quartet at the age of fifteen. Since then she never stopped enchanting her public with her sweet and moving voice. She surprises with her ease and audaci- ty and seduces with her freshness and spontaneity. She has also been supported by big names such as trumpetist Nicolas Folmer or Fred Wesley at the trombone, who added their expertise to her album ‘Feeling Alive’. Agathe reminds us that more than ever jazz is alive and well . Ben Toury is also joining the thirteenth edition of Fest Jazz! His virtuoso piano playing and his crooner voice inflame the scene where he performs, whether in France, the UK, the Emirates or Ukraine! The style of this young artist is especially blues/boogie, but he adds to it some ska, some hip-hop and even some funk! Don’t miss Ben at Fest Jazz!
Shades is the combination of four top quality vocalists, all lovers of beautiful songs that are influenced by the American Songbook. Half-way between ‘Take 6’ and ‘The Real group’, the bass clarinet that accompanies them defines the group identity, by replacing at times a contrabass or a fifth deep voice… The leader of this new formation is Antoine Laudière. Guitar player and arranger, fond of harmonies and big jazz singers, he started composing by taking inspiration from the big bands that accompanied Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald. The programme of this ‘hybrid’ vocal jazz formation includes songs that are reinvented and updated with a modern twist.
And finally, The Sweet Peppers,a sextet from Montpel- lier that has revived the jazz of the 20s and 40s. These young musicians revisit the best standards of this epoch with freshness and passion, as well as a selec- tion of little forgotten treasures. Their recipe – new arrangements and sparkling interpretations. Their fans will easily recognize the tunes of Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. All performed by the charming and deliciously retro voice of Audrey, and by those full of personality of Benjamin and Sami. The Sweet Peppers, an astonishing group that blends musicians of various backgrounds, will seduce you with their innovative style of music.
