The hard-throwing right hander becomes the first Silverado to be promoted to affiliated baseball after a successful stint with Napa. The native of the Dominican Republic makes his way back to affiliated ball after spending the last six seasons in the minors. San Rafael Pacifics Pitcher Max Beatty was the Pacific Association’s last affiliated promotion in 2017. Assistant General Manager Megan Castellucci shared the excitement of many in the Silverados organization after hearing the news of the promotion of Mendez. “This is such an exciting day for the Silverados,” Castellucci said. “This is a very special moment for Deivy Mendez, the Silverados Organization, and the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs.
