Swedish House Mafia Will Reunite at Tinderbox 2018-11-28 11:05 CET Swedish House Mafia will reunite at Tinderbox The Swedish supergroup is confirmed as the first headliner for next year's festival The demand for Tinderbox's first announcement has been enormous and the patience of the audience is now rewarded with the announcement of the world's biggest electronic act, who will perform at the fifth edition of the Danish festival. In October, Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso announced that they in 2019 would launch their first tour under the name of Swedish House Mafia in six years. The three Swedes have had tremendous success with their albums, "Until One" and "Until Now", but it was on stage that they became megastars. They have headlined the biggest festivals in the world, and when they announced their comeback tour, the trio sold out the Stockholm Tele2 Arena with 40,000 capacity each evening in minutes. A clear sign of their status as the biggest electronic act around, and it is sensational that they have chosen to visit Odense this summer. - The rumours about a show from Swedish House Mafia in Odense have been buzzing around like crazy and it is fantastic that we are now able to confirm that the world's biggest dj-act will hit Tinderbox this summer. The three Swedes have previously played the festival under their own names, but it really is something special to now be able to present their long-awaited comeback as Swedish House Mafia, says spokesperson for Tinderbox, John Fogde. With the announcement of Swedish House Mafia, the start to the announcements for next year's festival has begun. However, this is not the time to rest on our laurels, so tomorrow Thursday 29th of November another eight acts will be released for Tinderbox 2019. Tinderbox 2019 can be experienced in Odense on the 27th - 29th of June 2019, and tickets can be purchased via Tinderbox.dk from Friday November 30th at 10am. • Idioms-And-Expressions.Pdf
Idioms and Expressions by David Holmes A method for learning and remembering idioms and expressions I wrote this model as a teaching device during the time I was working in Bangkok, Thai- land, as a legal editor and language consultant, with one of the Big Four Legal and Tax companies, KPMG (during my afternoon job) after teaching at the university. When I had no legal documents to edit and no individual advising to do (which was quite frequently) I would sit at my desk, (like some old character out of a Charles Dickens’ novel) and prepare language materials to be used for helping professionals who had learned English as a second language—for even up to fifteen years in school—but who were still unable to follow a movie in English, understand the World News on TV, or converse in a colloquial style, because they’d never had a chance to hear and learn com- mon, everyday expressions such as, “It’s a done deal!” or “Drop whatever you’re doing.” Because misunderstandings of such idioms and expressions frequently caused miscom- munication between our management teams and foreign clients, I was asked to try to as- sist. I am happy to be able to share the materials that follow, such as they are, in the hope that they may be of some use and benefit to others. The simple teaching device I used was three-fold: 1. Make a note of an idiom/expression 2. Define and explain it in understandable words (including synonyms.) 3. Give at least three sample sentences to illustrate how the expression is used in context.

    1. JOHN TEJADA Where (Palette) 6. THE FASHION The Fashion (Epic Records) Known to most as one of the USA’s top minimal minds, this LA based techno Friendly snarls open the Fashion’s sophomore album on “Dead Boys.” This sounds athlete is back for yet another solid album on his very own highly respected like a contradiction in terms (How are snarls friendly and is that the right tone for imprint. Marking the 50th installment for the label, and the 11th full-length of his a song about the deceased?), but that might just be the Danish (now) quartet’s career, Where is another Tejada classic. Taking a delicate approach, using friendly secret weapon. Creating a combination of the best of British and American indie- synth voices, light hits and dynamic mixes, the tracks are full of life and beg to be pop, the Fashion know their way around an infectious, easy hook. The bounce, played either on the club floor or out of your car door. Spacious and extra melodic, tempered with a stretched-out chorus on “Letters From The Ambulance” belie an Tejada knows exactly how to take a simple one bar synth loop and expand it into effortless ability to bring together disparate moods in one song and turn them into a throbbing pulse that makes your foot pound relentlessly. While the tracks keep one accessible entity. There is confusion and messiness on “Like Knives,” which a solid rhythmic drive, the real beauty in the mixes comes from expertly sublime together make it into the perfect scowling statement.

Along with the musical orientation towards medleys of house music with various hit song elements rather than African American groove aesthetics in minimal techno, for instance, the industry developed the visual design of festival worlds and their digital mediation in the form of promotional videos.

MBET Senior Projects - Thesis Cover Page Dance Music: The Long Lasting and Far Reaching Effects of a Genre ______________________________ A Senior Thesis Presented to The Faculty of the Department of Music Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology The University of the Arts ________________________________ In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of BACHELOR OF SCIENCE ________________________________ By Trent Schindler May, 2019 1 Since the beginning, dance music has seen itself take the shape of, and transform into, a variety of molds. Detroit brought about techno - Chicago, house –and New York, garage (Reynolds, 2016). These hubs, with their own unique musical methodologies, would, like any ecosystem, spawn those who would thrive under their structure, or perhaps in this case, the lack thereof. This, in turn, would be the breeding ground of dance music and its legends. These legends, such as Carl Craig, Kraftwerk, and Derrick May, would not only help to develop something that would become bigger than anyone could have imagined, but they would indeed, like the ecosystem they were molded from, help to spawn, either directly or indirectly, a new breed of dance music altogether (Reynolds, 2016). This new breed would be pioneered by the likes of the Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, and Avicii to name a few. All of these great dance music pioneers and legends have, in turn, influenced me and have put me on a journey to develop, create, and produce my own variation of their craft. They have effectively molded me into the artist I am today, causing me to adventure into the origins of the music and technique and, without their innovative spirit and technical exploration; I would not be navigating this path.
