Jan 10, 2013 13:18 UTC M-SPORT & CASTROL UNVEIL 2013 FIESTA RS WORLD RALLY CAR The all new Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car livery was revealed today when M-Sport & Castrol unveiled the new Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team’s colours that will adorn the car in the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship. M-Sport director Malcolm Wilson unveiled the livery for the eye-catching Fiesta RS WRC at the Autosport International Racing Car Show in Birmingham, motorsport’s traditional start-of-season showcase event. The team will continue to be sponsored by Castrol EDGE. Branding for Castrol’s global range of best-in-class motor oils will feature prominently in the Fiesta RS WRC’s new livery for the upcoming season, as it did in 2012. The Fiesta RS World Rally Car, with its four wheel-drive transmission and 1.6- litre Ecoboost engine will once again spearhead M-Sport’s challenge in the 2013 championships. The car, based on the best-selling Fiesta road car, claimed 18 top-three finishes in last year’s season and was the only model to secure a podium finish on all 13 rounds of the championship. With impressive pace on all surfaces, the Fiesta also topped the stage win rankings with 103 fastest stage times compared to 97 for the next manufacturer. The new-look design will adorn the competition cars of Mads Østberg, Evgeny Novikov, Thierry Neuville and Juho Hänninen as the team makes its competitive debut at Rallye Monte-Carlo next week. Also running the new livery will be the Fiesta RS WRC of Nasser Al-Attiyah who begins his 2013 campaign at Rally Sweden in February. Mikkelsen will compete in all rounds of the 2018 championship in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, co- driven by fellow Norwegian Anders Jæger. Hyundai Motorsport’s existing crews of Thierry Neuville/Nicolas Gilsoul, Dani Sordo/Marc Martí and Hayden Paddon/Seb Marshall all remain under contract for the 2018 season. Hyundai Motorsport targets titles in 2019 FIA World Rally Championship Hyundai Motorsport has outlined its ambitions to compete for the FIA World Rally Championship manufacturers’ and drivers’ titles in 2019 Revised crew line-up sees Thierry Neuville and Andreas Mikkelsen tackle the complete season with Dani Sordo scheduled for eight rounds and Sébastien Loeb for six. Under new Team Director Andrea Adamo, Hyundai Motorsport will contest its most comprehensive season in WRC to date with 14 rounds, including a new event in Chile. Birmingham, UK January 11, 2019 – On the eve of the official WRC season launch at the Autosport International show, Hyundai Motorsport has outlined its intentions to compete once again at the very forefront of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), with its sights set firmly on the manufacturers’ and drivers’ titles. The team finished as runners-up in 2018, for the third time in a row, having taken the title fight down to the wire. In one of the closest, most hotly contested seasons in recent years, a three-way battle was only concluded at the season finale in Australia. Running a revised crew line-up and with an extended calendar of 14 rounds in 2019, Hyundai Motorsport will aim to revisit the competitive form that helped it score three victories and 11 podium finishes last season. With WRC’s regulations remaining stable, the team has been able to evolve the technical foundations of its rally winning Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. All aspects of the car have been rigorously assessed in order to perform consistently across all terrains in the coming season.

Part two of the World Champions’ story: Volkswagen has won the manufacturers’ title in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) with an outstanding one-two victory at the Rally Spain. That means all the WRC titles* for 2013 will go to the car maker from Wolfsburg. Sébastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia (F/F) claimed the Drivers’ and Co-Drivers’ crown three weeks ago at the Rally France. The French duo went on to score an impressive win – their eighth this season – ahead of their team-mates Jari- Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila (FIN/FIN) at the “Rally de España”. As a result, Volkswagen has an unassailable lead in the Manufacturers’ Championship with one round still to go this season. Winning three titles in its debut year with the Polo R WRC is Volkswagen’s greatest motorsport achievement to date. Sébastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia (F/F) were crowned World Rally Champions for the fourth time in a row after taking victory at the Rally Spain. They guided their Volkswagen Polo R WRC to a fifth win of the season in Catalonia, finishing ahead of Dani Sordo/Marc Martí (E/E, Hyundai) und Thierry Neuville/Nicolas Gilsoul (B/B, Hyundai). Their ninth podium in eleven races triggered wild celebrations. The Frenchmen can no longer be caught at the top of the overall standings in the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). Team-mates Andreas Mikkelsen/Anders Jæger (N/N) went into the Rally Spain as their closest rivals in the title race, but the Norwegians’ hopes of winning the championship were dashed when they were forced to retire from the rally. 2021 MEDIA GUIDE Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 ROUND 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 HYUNDAI’S HELLO Given the freezing temperatures outside, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Arctic Rally Finland and for the first of what we hope will be two visits by the WRC and Hyundai Motorsport to the country in 2021. Before I underline the team’s hopes and expectations for this event, I wish to acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into putting on this rally in such a short amount of time. The efforts of AKK Sports and all the volunteers, particularly in the context of COVID-19, has really impressed me so a big thank you to them. It’s fair to say we showed our limits on Rallye Monte-Carlo and found ourselves licking our wounds and trying to get ahead. Unfortunately, it didn’t work there and after making some changes to our approach we start the second round of the season hoping it will be much better than the first. Having wished a fond farewell to Carlos del Barrio after Monte as he prepared for the next chapter of his career, we are pleased to welcome back Craig and Paul for the start of their half-season campaign in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. We know very well their ability and determination as they try to make a strong start to their season. As well as our regular World Rally Car drivers, we are giving a big chance to a really promising youngster, Oliver Solberg.
