150 YEARS OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL

2019 marks a significant milestone in the history of college football. On November 6, 1869, the first contest between Princeton and Rutgers was played and the affinity for this great game began.

The Football Bowl Association (FBA) will embrace the opportunity to support this historic event with a year-long celebration commemorating 150 years of great memories, games and pageantry. THE FOOTBALL BOWL ASSOCIATION

Broadcast networks will promote the anniversary through the use of the logo on-air and in creating unique content throughout the 2019 season. ESPN has embarked on a year-long, multi-platform storytelling experience which includes television, radio and digital initiatives. Additionally, they will introduce college football’s all-time, teams, coaches, games and players as voted on by a select 150-member panel from across college football, made up of former coaches and players as well as media members, administrators, and additional key figures in and around the sport.
