(Established 1947) Seventy Third Annual General Meeting Notice of Meeting Notice is hereby given to the Members of the MWFA Ltd that the 73rd Annual General Meeting of the Manly Warringah Football Association Ltd. will be held at the Manly Warringah Football Club (101 South Creek Rd, Dee Why FC) Monday 30th November 2020 commencing 7.30 p.m. AGENDA 1. Affiliation of Clubs Please join the MWFA Board for refreshments. 4 | Page MWFA Committees for 2020 Board for 2020 David was elected to the MWFA Board for the 2020 season and was elected Chairman. Previously David served as a member of the Mr David Wilson MWFA Management Committee as VP (senior Chairman men) and the Executive Committee for four seasons from 2014-2017. David also served on the committees of Seaforth and Beacon Hill FC and coached with Wakehurst, Beacon Hill FC, Pittwater and Manly United. Linda was elected onto the MWFA Board as part of the transitional agreement from the MWFA Executive to the MWFA Board for the 2020 season. Linda was a member of the MWFA Mrs Linda Ward Executive for the 2018 and 2019 seasons but Director/Secretary previously she served on the MWFA Management Committee and Executive Committee from 1991 – 2005 including 11 seasons as MWFA President. Linda also served on the CC Strikers committee and the Football NSW Board and is a Life Member of the MWFA and a recipient of the Football NSW State Award and George Churchward Medal. Joseph was elected to the MWFA Board as part of the transitional agreement from the MWFA Mr Joseph Executive to the MWFA Board for the 2020 Sorbara season. Joseph was a member of the MWFA Director / Executive, serving as Treasurer from 2016-2019 Treasurer and was also previously a member of the committee at Wakehurst. 5 | Page Rhonda was elected to the MWFA Board for the Mrs Rhonda 2020 season. Previously Rhonda was a member Ferguson of the MWFA Management Committee where Director she was the (VP Women) from 2003-2015. Rhonda is a Life Member of the MWFA and also served on the committee at Harbord Seasiders United. Terry was elected to the MWFA Board for the 2020 season. Previously Terry served as a Mr Terry Gatward member of the MWFA Management Committee Director as the VP Seniors from 2017-2019, where he was instrumental in the roll out of the Defib program across the MWFA. Terry has also served on the committee of Many Vale Duncan was elected onto the MWFA Board as part of the transitional agreement from the Mr Duncan Kerr MWFA Executive to the MWFA Board for the Director 2020 season. Duncan was previously a member of the MWFA Executive Committee in 2018 and 2019 and was also previously a member of the Forest Killarney committee. Ian Clarke was appointed to the MWFA Board in Mr Ian Clarke 2020 as the Manly United elected Director. Ian Director has been a member of the Manly United Board since 2019. He was also the President of Mosman Football Club from 2009 – 2013. A total of 737 clubs entered the FFA Cup 2019, a number that has significantly grown from the first edition of the FFA Cup in 2014, when 617 clubs entered. The FFA Cup 2019 started in February with the Preliminary Rounds to determine the 21 clubs from the semi-professional and amateur tiers. These clubs joined ten of the Hyundai A-League clubs (Western United FC will not participate in this edition) and the reigning National Premier Leagues Champions (Campbelltown City SC) in the Final Rounds. The FFA Cup Final 2019 will be played on Wednesday 23 October with the host city to be determined by a live draw. Each cup tie must be decided on the day, with extra time to decide results of matches drawn after 90 minutes, followed by penalties if required. At least one Member Federation club is guaranteed to progress to the Semi Finals. We are extremely thankful to have secured a fantastic home ground for the 2020 NPL season and we hope, with your help, that we can make it a fortress in which no team will come here and enjoy playing. As recently appointed Technical Director for the Club, it gives me great pleasure to be able to extend a welcome to all of our club patrons and say thank you to the officials at Lambert Park, Football NSW and Football Federation Australia.
