In exercise of the power conferred by sections 12 and 17 of the West Bengal Panchayat Elections Act, 2003 (West Ben. Act-XXIof 2003), read with rules 22 and 23 of the West Bengal Panchayat Election Rules, 2006, I, the District Panchayat Election Officer and District Magistrate of the district of HOWRAH, as the prescribed authority appointed by the State Government in the Department of Panchayats & Rural Development under notification No. 5316/PN/O/l/1A-3/2010 dated 01-07-2010 for the purpose of the rules 22 & 23 of the said rules, hereby determine after previous publication of the draft of this order as required under the said rules for the Grams specified in column (1) of the Schedule below, the total number of members, Scheduled Castes members, Scheduled Tribes members, Backward classes members & women members to be elected to such Gram Panchayats specified in the corresponding entries in columns 2(a), 2(b), 2(c), 2(d) & 2(e) respectively, to divide the area of the Grams into constituencies with serial numbers assigned to them specified in the corresponding entries in column (3), to allocate to each such constituency seat or seats specified in the corresponding entries in column (4), seat or seats reserved for the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or Backward Classes persons specified in the corresponding entries in column (5), and seat or seats reserved for women specified in the corresponding entries in column (6) of the Schedule. KUMAR: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government proposes to make any special plan to develop small stations in the country; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government has identified the stations to be developed and if so, the details thereof, State-wise; (d) the amount earmarked by the Government for the purpose; and (e) whether the Government has stipulated any time-frame and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI RAJEN GOHAIN) (a) to (e): Modernisation/upgradation of railway stations is continuous and on-going process. At present, upgradation of stations has been undertaken under ‘Adarsh Station Scheme’. The scheme provides for development of stations, including small stations in the country. Selection of Railway stations under Adarsh Station Scheme is based on the identified need for upgradation of amenities. 1253 stations have been identified for development under Adarsh Station Scheme out of which 1050 railway stations have been developed so far and the remaining stations are planned to be developed by 2017-18. State-wise list of stations identified to be developed under the scheme is appended. The expenditure on works of development of railway stations is generally funded under Plan Head – ‘Passenger Amenities’. ` 1470.79 crores has been allocated under this Plan Head during the current year 2017-18. Such CPCs will directly operate under the administrative control of the DC (F&S)s and overall supervision of the Director, DDP&S of Food and Supplies Department. The Governor is now pleased to decide that a total number of 350 (Three Hundred and Fifty) nd CPCs out of which 293 are 1st CPCs ,55 are 2 CPCs and 2 are additional CPCs,will be operationalised as shown in the table below. The registration of new farmers in 1st CPCs will commence from 1sI October 2020 and paddy purchase will commence from 1st November 2020. The registration of farmers nd as well as purchase of paddy in 2 CPCs and additional CPCs will commence from 1st December 2020 onwards. The Director of DDP&S and the DCF&S concerned will ensure that all the 1st CPCs are fully functional for undertaking procurement of paddy w.e.f. 1st November, 2020.
