Kostić je rođena u Knjaževcu 08. maja 1991.godine, gde je i završila osnovnu školu “Dubrava” 2006. godine. Iste godine upisuje srednju medicinsku školu – medicinska sestra vaspitač, u Zaječaru i završava je sa odličnim uspehom 2010. godine. Prirodno-matematički fakultet u Nišu upisuje 2010. godine na Departmanu za biologiju i ekologiju. Osnovne akademske studije završava 2014. godine kada i upisuje master akademske studije na Departmanu za biologiju i ekologiju Prirodno-matematičkog-fakulteta u Nišu, smer Biologija. Master akademske studije završava 2017. godine. Sažetak U ovom radu analizirana je interpopulaciona diferencijacija vrste Crocus chrysanthus Herbert na osnovu varijabilnosti anatomskih karakteristika listova, pet prostorno udaljenih populacija, četiri iz Srbije (Knez Selo, dva lokaliteta, Kunovica, Kraljevica) i jedne iz Makedonije (Treskavec). Statističkom analizom je obuhvaćeno 14 kvantitativnih i 2 kvalitativna karaktera lista. Da bi se utvrdila diferencijacija populacija korišćene su standardne statističke analize, uključujući deskriptivnu statistiku, PCA i CDA. Najznačajniji karakteri za formiranje varijabilnosti između istraživanih populacija su: debljina kutikule lica lista, visina ćelija palisadnog parenhima, širina ćelija sunđerastog parenhima, visina i širina ćelija epidermisa naličja lista, kao i dužina, širina i površina stoma. Najveća morfološka diferencijacija je između populacije sa Knez Sela I i populacije iz Makedonije (Treskavec), dok je najveće preklapanje između populacije Kraljevica i populacije Kunovica. Između ostalih populacija dolazi do delimičnog preklapanja. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na potrebu daljeg istraživanja. Ključne reči: Crocus chrysanthus, populacija, anatomija lista, anatomska diferencijacija Abstract In this paper, the interpopulation differentiation of the species Crocus chrysanthus Herbert was analyzed based on the variability of the anatomical characteristics of leaves, five spatially distant populations, four from Serbia (Knez Selo, two locality, Kunovica, Kraljevica) and one from Macedonia (Treskavec). The statistical analysis included 14 quantitative and 2 qualitative characteristics of the leaf. To determine population differentiation, standard statistical analyzes, including descriptive statistics, PCA and CDA were used. The most important characteristic for the formation of variability among the investigated populations is: the thickness of the face of the leaf, the height of the palisade parenchyma cells, the width of the spongy parenchyma cells, the height and width of the leaf reverse epidermis cells, and the length, width and surface area of the stoma. The largest morphological differentiation is between the population of the Knez Selo I and the population from Macedonia (Treskavec), while the biggest overlap is between the population of Kraljevica and the population of Kunovica. There is a partial overlap between the rest of the population. The obtained results indicate the need for further research. UVOD Rod Crocus L. je rasprostranjen u oblasti Mediterana i suvijoj florističkoj oblasti, istočno od Mediterana, poznatoj kao Irano-Turski region (Mathew, 1982). Obuhvata oko 129 poznatih vrsta, dok na području Srbije raste 17 vrsta (Stjepanović-Veseličić, 1976). Naziv roda potiče od grčke reči kroke ili krokos – što u prevodu znači konac, jer su žigovi šafrana končasti (Stjepanović-Veseličić, 1976). Sam naziv šafrana potiče od arapske reči az-za'fran koja u prevodu znači „biti žut”. Narodni nazivi za vrste pomenutog roda su: kaćun, kaćunak, šafran, brnduša, brnđuša. Šafran je jedna od najvrednijih biljaka koja od davnina predstavlja simbol mudrosti i bogatstva. Koristi se kao dekorativna, ukrasna, jestiva i začinska biljka. Njegovo poreklo nije precizno utvrđeno, jer se spominju različite zemlje Mediterana i Azije, počevši od stare Grčke, Krita i Irana. Slika [1]. Vekovima se kao lek upotrebljava protiv oboljenja bubrega, poremećaja u radu srca koje je ispoljeno u vidu preskakanja i aritmije, a poboljšava apetit i reguliše varenje.     SRGC ----- Bulb Log Diary ----- Pictures and text © Ian Young BULB LOG 9.........................29th February 2012 Bulb Bed I normally try to get the pictures for the bulb log taken over a weekend and then write the log in time to post it on Wednesday. This is exactly what I did last week but by the time I posted the snowy pictures the weather had completely changed and from Wednesday on we have been basking in some very unseasonal warmth. The bulbs have sprung into action and I cannot remember a year when the garden changed so quickly from a few flowers to being alive with bloom. Weather predictions are that Aberdeen may record the warmest February day since 1897 this Tuesday – we will see. (it came close but fell 0.8 short) Snow Drops The snow drops are all opening their petals and making a wonderful display in the unexpected warmth. Poculiform Galanthus I love the variation that we get when raising any bulbs from seed and I do admit that there are quite a number of notable variations in snowdrops. Different forms are always more numerous when a number of species are brought together in a garden and can interbreed. Above is a form where the inner three petals are longer than the norm – these are called poculiform and can be most beautiful when a good stable form is found. Galanthus It is always pleasing to see any bulb increase and form a clump but I much prefer to see my bulbs spaced out so that they can display their flowers without touching each other.

Crocus and daffodils tell us that spring is on its way and red tulips are a Derby Day tradition. These flowers are recognized by most people but there are many other spring flowering bulbs that can be used around your home. Hundreds of different kinds of flower bulbs are available for fall planting. You may obtain them from mail order bulb companies, garden centers, supermarkets or department stores. Some are familiar and others have long, hard-to-pronounce names. Generally, spring flowering bulbs do very well the first spring after they are planted. Yet, many home gardeners want the bulbs to come back year after year or naturalize in their home landscape. Continuing trials at the UK College of Agriculture's Arboretum and Horticulture Research Farm have focused on the naturalization of spring flowering bulbs. Bulbs planted in various sites and given different types of care have been observed through four spring flowering seasons. The following list of recommended bulbs for Kentucky landscapes is based on these trials. Planting Site Well-drained sites are essential. Established gardens and Wind Flower – ‘Radar’ beds or newly cultivated areas are fine. The soil pH should be 6.0 to 7.0. Bulbs will not do well in heavy clay soils, so poor soils should be amended with compost, peat moss or other organic matter. Most bulbs prefer a site that does not receive full sunlight in the middle of the day.

Introduction In part two of our article on Crocus biflorus in Anatolia (KERNDORFF & PASCHE 2003) we have presented results of detailed field studies from individual mountains or ranges in the Lycian and Pisidian Taurus including new results on the occurrence and distribution pattern of C. biflorus in these areas. Although Bowles (1924) described the taxon and introduced it to the literature, the plant was first collected by Walter Siehe from the Cilician Taurus Mountains in 1907.
