He is a member of the African National Congress (ANC), serving on its National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Working Committee (NWC), and is the organisation’s National Elections Co- ordinator. He is a teacher by profession and an academic, whose passion for education as tool for social upliftment finds its expression in his work as the Patron of the Nompumelelo Institute for Leadership; aimed at recognising and encouraging academic excellence and leadership amongst the youth. VIP SPEAKER Asher Bohbot CEO EOH Holdings Mr. Bohbot serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of EOH Holdings Limited, the largest technology company in Africa. He first arrived in SA in 1980, at the age of 27, having been born in Morocco but raised in Israel. Following a stint at AECI as a senior engineer, he joined Laminate Industries (later to be part of the PG Group) in 1981 as an industrial engineering manager. In 1990, he was appointed as a logistics director and proceeded to rise further, taking responsibility for Group Logistics and IT at PG Bison in 1995. In 1998 Bohbot left the PG Group and started EOH, a business and technology solutions provider.
