Project Title: Spartan Athletics Center

Project Description:

The proposed project consists of a new athletics center and plaza area on the east side of existing CEFCU Stadium on the San José State University’s South Campus location in San José. The project would also involve constructing a driveway to the athletics center from West Alma Boulevard. The proposed project is a minor modification to a previously approved project that would have located the athletics center on the northside of CEFCU Stadium. As lead agency, California State University Board of Trustees has prepared a CEQA Addendum for the proposed project. The CEQA Addendum is to the adopted Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration that was previously prepared for the approved project on the north side of CEFCU Stadium.

This is to advise that the California State University Board of Trustees has approved the above

The Addendum found that the proposed project would not result in a new or substantial increase in the severity of impacts beyond those analyzed and addressed in the previously adopted Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the approved project. Mitigation measures and the MMRP prepared for the adopted Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration will also be applicable to the proposed project.
