Home stadium name history: San José State and Citizens Equity First Credit Union (CEF- CU, pronounced SEFF-cue) are in year three of a 15-year naming rights agreement for the university’s football stadium, built in 1933, to be called CEFCU Stadium - Home of the Spartans. CEFCU and San José State Athletics first became partners in 2011 with signage on the stadium scoreboard and at the West gate entry point. Apparel: In July 2017, San José State University began a six-year, all-sports apparel agreement with adidas. The 2020 season is the Spartans’ fourth with adidas.
