    60 JAHRE SV NRW ERFOLGREICH IN DER VERGANGENHEIT – KRAFTVOLL IN DIE ZUKUNFT (Fassung 16.03.2007) Das 60-jährige Jubiläum eines Vereins oder Verbandes gehört nicht zu den anerkannt klassischen Jubiläen. Dennoch sollte ein solcher Geburtstag Anlass sein, einmal kurz anzuhalten, sich auf die Wurzeln der Gemeinschaft zu besinnen und, wenn möglich, aus der Vergangenheit Kraft und Zuversicht für die Zukunftsaufgaben zu schöpfen. Ich freue mich darüber, dass das Präsidium unseres Verbandes mich auserkoren hat, das 60-jährige Bestehen des SV NRW in diesem Sinne zu thematisieren. Die Geschichte unseres Verbandes und die Aspekte unseres schwimmsportlichen Wirkens haben wir zu unserem 5o-jährigen Jubiläum 1997 in einer eindrucksvollen Festschrift auf 216 Seiten sehr eingehend dargestellt, illustriert und dokumentiert. Ich kann und will daher den Rückblick kurz halten und das Hauptgewicht meiner Ausführungen auf unsere derzeitige und künftige Aufgabe in unserer Gesellschaft richten. 2 Ein beachtlicher Teil der heute hier anwesenden Delegierten ist, wenn ich das richtig einschätze, in der Nachkriegszeit geboren. Diesen Kameradinnen und Kameraden ist also das Umfeld der Geburtsstunde des damaligen WSV aus eigenem Erleben nicht bekannt. Ich will es daher in einem Bild mit groben Umrissen kurz zeichnen. Nach langen und durchaus kontroversen Vorgesprächen wurde der WSV am 08.02.1947 in Hamm aus der Taufe gehoben. Drei Monate später übrigens, am 06.05.1947, erblickte des LSB, unser großer erfolgreicher Dachverband des Sports in NRW, das Licht der Welt. Wir sind also, wenn man so will, Zwillinge beim Wiedererstehen des organisierten Sports in dem 1946 neu geschaffenen Bundesland NRW. Das Umfeld in der Gründungszeit war alles andere als verheißungsvoll.
