Tony Xavier

An alumnus of IIM-Lucknow, Tony Xavier has more than 8 years of experience in the area of standardized aptitude testing. After graduating in 2004, a preference for academics led him to move from the retail division of the Aditya Birla Group and join the Academics Department of IMS Learning Resources in Bombay.

Over a span of the 6 years he designed and developed learning and testing content for all national and international aptitude tests such as the CAT, GMAT® and the GRE® and by 2010 became the Head of the Academics Department of IMS. During this period, he took both the GMAT® and the GRE® and achieved scores of 750 out of 800 and 331 out of 340 respectively. In 2012, with the intention of taking on a larger business role and helping students more directly, he decided to take up the IMS Business Operations for the city of Chennai and is currently based there.

Vijay Janakiraman

Vijay Janakiraman, Academics Manager - IMS Chennai, has been an IMS Trainer for more than 7 years and excels in Verbal Ability training for the CAT, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS and TSE exams.

He specializes in training MBA, job aspirants and college students in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Etiquette skills. Through IMS, he has trained more than 5000+ individuals in Chennai alone. His sessions have been widely appreciated by freshers and experienced professionals alike due to their realistic and wholly interactive nature. One of his key strengths is his ability to connect with his audience and speak to them in a language and manner they understand. His work experience across 4 years spans several industries and verticals. He began his career at Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai, where he was the Module Lead for a major telecom project. He was with them for 3 years before moving to Reliance Telecom, Chennai, as a Business Development Manager. While at Reliance, he rose rapidly through the ranks and eventually headed the Videoconferencing Business for South Zone. Shortly after that he did his MBA from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, where he majored in Marketing. While at Great Lakes he was picked up by Optima Advertising, a young and dynamic full-service ad agency in Chennai. While at Optima as an Account Manager, he was responsible for several memorable ad campaigns for a host of large, medium and small companies. In April 2010, he moved out of Optima and joined IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Ltd. full-time and is currently the Academics Manager.

He is an Electronics and Communications engineer from S.R.M Engineering College, Chennai and he did his schooling from Bombay Scottish, Mumbai and P.S. Senior Secondary, Chennai. He lives in Chennai and is fluent is English, and Tamil.

Muneesh Narang

An alumnus of IIT-Kharagpur and IIFT-Delhi, Muneesh Narang is a test-prep veteran with more than 8 years of experience with leading national test prep organizations. Over the course of his career Muneesh has trained more than 15000 students across all areas of Quantitative aptitude - DI, DS and Logical- Reasoning for tests such the CAT, the GRE and the GMAT.

Apart from training students Muneesh has been involved in recruitment and training of faculty team on various aspects of academics and evaluation co-faculty in terms of delivery, subject knowledge, and general feedback from students. He has also been actively involved in content development for Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

Prior to joining the test-prep industry in 2003, Muneesh was working in the Banking and finance sector for more than 25 years.

SHYAM SUNDER

Widely considerd as one of the most experienced Quantitative aptitude trainers in Chennai, Mr. Shyam has more than a decade of teaching and training experience after he retired from a long and illustrious industrial engineering career. He has taught from than 10000 hours of classes and has focussed on every conceivable aptitude test, although his prime interest is in CAT and GMAT exams. He is the trainer of choice when we conduct special intense workshops for our promsing CAT and GMAT aspirants. His methodology is something to marvel at because he stresses the need to solve problems by using simple, mental logic instead of putting pen to paper.

He completed his Masters in Industrial Metallurgy from PSG Coimbatore after which he worked with various domestic and foreign industrial engineering companies.

When it comes to aptitude training, his focus areas are Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. He is also a corporate trainer and regularly conducts workshops for such organizations like Ma Foi, ThoughtWorks and Born 2 Win.Currently compiling a book on Numerical Ability suitable for Aptitude Training.

Revanth Pedapudi

Revanth Pedapudi, an alumnus of GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade, Visakhapatnam also has more than six years of teaching experience in Verbal Aptitude.His interest in Training Programs can be traced back to his father who retired as the HOD – Training and Development Centre, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Prior to his joining the mainstream education industry, he was working with the Dun & Bradstreet at Hyderabad - Andhra Pradesh.He was involved in Credit Rating of SMEs, which helps in easier access to investments. He has participated in conferences held by CII, NSIC and various other organizations looking towards development of SMEs.

He was instrumental in analyzing growth markets for Indigenous SMEs and preparing a detailed insight into the subject’s history, operations, management quality and marketing capabilities, and also providing exhaustive financial analysis, industry benchmarking and SWOT analysis. His passion for the education industry compelled him to take up a mid-career change towards education sector.

His interests apart from Education are Sports Management and E Commerce.

Parthasarathy Rajagopal

Parthasarathy Rajagopal has been with IMS as Verbal Faculty now for more than 3 years and handles verbal training for the CAT, GMAT, GRE, SAT, MAT, CSAT, and IELTS exams.

Conducting Vocabulary workshops in addition to Classroom training for MBA aspirants is his métier. He has received consistently good feedback from students on the manner in which he conducts his classes.

Before he joined IMS, he had worked with reputable organizations such as Asian Paints, The Cements, among others, in the roles of TSI and Senior Officer (Marketing). He had also worked as a Quality Trainer (Voice) for Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai.

Parthasarathy is a commerce graduate from St.Joseph’s College, Trichy, and now pursues a post graduation in English. He is married with two children.

VIKASH SINGH

An Engineer from Hindustan College of Engineering with a First Class degree in Electronics and Communications, Mr. Vikash has always displayed a passion for teaching. He has more than 6 years and more than 4000 hours of teaching experience in the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.

He is a 99 percentiler in the CAT exam. He is also an expert in other MBA entrance tests such as XAT, IIFT and SNAP. He is an MBA from the prestigious MDI college in Guragaon. He specialized in Finance and Marketing.

Professionally, he has worked in the IT sector in companies such as Infosys, Naskorp and Cognizant Analytics. In his latest profile, he works at CTS as a Senior Financial Analyst.

TUSHAR KUMAR

An engineering graduate from SRM university, Mr. Tushar Kumar is also an MBA from IIM Lucknow where he specialized in Marketing and Strategy.

Although a relative fresher to the field, he has rapidly developed a steady fan base and is widely appreciated for his down to earth approach and academic brilliance. He specializes in Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and he has wriiten and aced all the major MBA competitive exams such as CAT, SNAP, IIFT, XAT. He has also scroed a 710 on the GMAT where his Quantitative aptitude score was in the 99th percentile. He has close to a 1000 hours of teaching experience.

He has close to a year of work experience in diverse areas such as oil and gas and governance. He is currently the Business Head of IMS Vellore.

Mr. Tushar is also very active in the social work circuit where he has been a dedicated volunteer at CRY Chennai.

PARVATHY PILLAI

A relative newcomer to the aptitude training domain, Ms. Parvathy is a seasoned banker. She retired from SBI and now spends her free time in training competitive exam aspirants.

Her focus area is Verbal aptitude and in the short time she has been with IMS, she has proved her language skills. She is now an expert trainer for verbal aptitude for the CAT, GRE and GMAT exams. Her average GRE verbal score is 156 and her highest score is 168 on 170. Apart from these main exams, she also trains for TOEFL and IELTS english exams which are used for visa and immigration purposes to countries such as USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore etc.

She has more than 1000 hours of students training experience. But more than that, her gentle teaching methodology coupled with her enthusiasm for the English language make her a much sought after mentor here at IMS.

RAJAMANI

Mr. Rajamani brings his vast teaching experience to the table for the benefit of the students. He has over 30 Years of Experience in live tutoring and more than 1000 hours of online tutoring. His focus area is Quantitative Aptitude and he specilizes in preparing students for challenging competitive exams like CAT, GMAT, GRE and SAT.

ORGAN DONATION AT JEPPIAAR ENGINEERING COLLEGE

As a part of Community service, our students had participated in Mega Organ Donation Camp held at Jeppiaar Engineering College today, organized by Department of Health and family welfare Government of Tamilnadu. on October 28, 2018 as an initiative to create Guinness Record in making 1000 donors to sign at a time for donating their organs.

The Government of Tamil Nadu put together government orders laying down procedures and guidelines for deceased organ donation and transplantation in the state. These brought in almost thirty hospitals in the programme and have resulted in significant increase in the donation rate in the state. With an organ donation rate of 1.15 per million populations, Tamil Nadu is the leader in deceased organ donation in the country.

In Jeppiaar Engineering College constant and frequent counseling is given to the students. It is a part of daily routine of the college. When a student faces any problem, the class counselors are always available to help them solve it. They also motivate the students and help them concentrate on their studies. Even the year in charge helps the students to solve personal problems. If any bigger issue arises the head of the department takes incharge without any hesitation and solves the problem in a very friendly manner.

Management Review Report

For Higher studies program leading Consultants from IDP Private Ltd visited our campus during the month of July 2014 dated 15th and addressed the students who were eligible and interested for higher studies abroad. It includes both the circuit and non-circuit branch students. Around 400 students participated in the seminar. The consultants gave awareness about the procedures and the needs for an international study. The students were allowed for 15 mins discussion and 10 mins feed back session with the respective consultants. Faculties and Consultants from Manya Abroad on 23rd of July 2014 educated the students on various preparatory tests for SAT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and IELTS. The group had also assisted the students with online application assistance, SOP editing, Visa counseling and eminent global tie-ups with leading educational and industrial assistance. The feedback from student community suggested that they were largely benefited by this group counseling. The students participated in the seminar includes both the circuit and Non-circuit branch students. Around 1000 students participated in the seminar.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2014 – 15 EVEN SEM (JAN - MAY) On advisory bureau invited two faculties from Career Launcher and they provided awareness about coaching for following courses like Aptitude Training, GATE Coaching, GMAT, GRE/SAT, CAT, CACPT, MBA/BBA, Online Test Series, Placement Training and Online Tutoring. The experts demonstrated live video sessions about the alumnus of IIT, IIM and many other reputed colleges, who answered most frequently asked questions in interviews of IIM and other MBA Institutes. Around 50-60 students had one-to-one discussions with the experts at the end of the seminar in a seminar hall.

Advisory Bureau for Higher Studies- Jeppiaar Engineering College in association with The Chopras on March 12th 2015 invited eminent international counselors who informed the graduates about the institutes’ interesting and innovative programme’s blended with industrial experience and practical application that will appeal to the academic community as well as to a range of other sectors in the market place. Main thrust was given to students who wish to pursue MBA Degree (Finance) in USA. Various details related to MBA scholarships by abroad Universities were informed to the students. 50-60 students participated in the programme which happened in the seminar hall.

INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER –GUEST LECTURE

A Guest lecture has been organized by SDC on

August 3rd 2016 in association with the Advisory Bureau of Higher Education. The International speaker Professor & Chair, Dr. Perumal Nithiarasu from the Department of Computational Engineering, Swansea University UK, delivered a lecture on ‘Need for Doing Higher Studies Abroad’. Professor Nithiarasu is a very active researcher in the area of computational biomedical engineering, computational mechanics and computational fluid dynamics. His area of expertise speech also included Fluid dynamics, Finite element method and Heat transfer process. Co- author of nearly two hundred publications, Professor Nithiarasu co-ordinates the computational biomedical modeling activities with the clinical colleagues in and around

Swansea University UK. 250 interested students from various departments of the college participated in the guest lecture and were greatly benefitted. A one -one discussion at the end of the lecture was welcomed by the professor.

The Managing Director with their team leaders offered unbiased counseling in identifying the right institution through their extensive research and shared knowledge about institutions and programs. The seminar also had information shared about advanced counseling and admission services, including possible scholarship opportunities to students based on their personal goals, academic performance and budget. Around 50-60 students had one-to-one discussions with the experts at the end of the seminar in a seminar hall. Education Consultants Canada (ECC) team leaders were invited by the Advisory Bureau for Higher Studies- Jeppiaar Engineering College on 10th February 2016. 20 -30 student aspirants of various departments who wish to pursue their higher education exclusive in Canadian states were invited for the guest lecture. Based on student’s academic qualifications, career goals, interest’s, financial status and work experience, their counsellors with their Valuable student counseling helped students choose the right course& University Selection that addressed their long term aspirations and goals. The academic institutions ECC represented offer "pathway programs" in Business, Humanities, Science and Engineering to students worldwide who wish to study at undergraduate and postgraduate level globally to enhance their skills and contribute towards a growing global economy. On 15th March, 2016 the Advisory Bureau organized a seminar for Study in France by Reach Overseas Consultants for students who wish to pursue their Master’s program in France. The team members brought few Alumni from IIT who had been to France for their Master’s and Ph.D programs. The Alumni explained the procedures related with the examination patterns. He elaborated the question patterns with sample papers for each branch and the preparatory processes. He also detailed the distribution of marks and eligibility criteria. They provided handy hints about the financial assistance provided by France Government agencies for the pursuit of higher studies.

Introduction The EDC was established in Jeppiaar engineering college with faculty members from different department in the year 2004.

It has been conducting the various entrepreneurship development programs in order to promote and inculcate the entrepreneurial skills in the minds of young students. The Entrepreneurship development institute(EDI) Tamil nadu along with Anna university Chennai has identified our college as one of the spoke colleges under the college – Innovation & Entrepreneurship development program(IEDP) on 18th October, 2016.

All our EDC activity will be facilitated by Anna University being the hub institution for IEDP. The successful implementation of program is based on the structure the set of activities on campus, ideation, opportunity evaluation and selection, and most importantly, management involvement in the whole process.

E-cell is all about creating & providing platform to all the persons, who all wants to be emerging entrepreneurs. DST –NIMAT sponsored Three days Entrepreneurship Awareness camp conducted for our college students during 01/11/2017 to 04/11/2017. 107 students and 8 staffs are benefited. The Entrepreneurship cell students had opportunity to construct IEDP web portal in EDII Tamil Nadu. The EDII sanctioned Rs 1,22,050 for this project, on account of this, 18 students got internship by Tamil Nadu Government.

We started our initial work on requirement gathering and risk analysis. After a week of planing on requirement analysis our team started develop the web portal.
