Archaeological Watching Brief Report Norton, A Oxford : Oxford Archaeology, 2002, 8pp, figs, tabs, refs Work undertaken by: Oxford Archaeology The watching brief was carried out during the construction of a series of ditches aimed at preventing the unauthorised occupation of the area. Two possible chalk trackways and a possible ditch were revealed. No dating evidence for these features was recovered, however Neolithic and Bronze Age flint flakes were found in the general area. Post-medieval tile and pottery was also observed. Sites of potential earthworks were also noted during the programme of observations. Two of these were of Mesolithic of Early Neolithic date. No features were observed. An Archaeological Survey of the Drain Area Samuel, M London : Architectural Archaeology, 2002, 17pp, pls, figs, refs Work undertaken by: Architectural Archaeology The survey was commissioned by the Woodland Trust to meet the conditions of the Listed Building Consent. The Icehouse consists of an egg-shaped building, heavily restored in 1984. The survey revealed that the drain area in particular was much more complex than previously thought. However, following initial consultation, it was decided that no scheme should be taken forward without further development work and a full consultation involving local residents, stakeholders and motorists. A public consultation was held between the 19 June 2015 and the 12 September 2015 on three options. It gave an opportunity for all to express their views on the proposed improvement options. The three options were: Option 1: Partial Signalised Roundabout Option 2: Left In/Left Out Option 3: Signalised Junction This report outlines how the public consultation was planned, carried out and its feedback reviewed.     Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Election Results 1997-2011 Colin Rallings and Michael Thrasher The Elections Centre Plymouth University The information contained in this report has been obtained from a number of sources. Election results from the immediate post-reorganisation period were painstakingly collected by Alan Willis largely, although not exclusively, from local newspaper reports. From the mid- 1980s onwards the results have been obtained from each local authority by the Elections Centre. The data are stored in a database designed by Lawrence Ware and maintained by Brian Cheal and others at Plymouth University. Despite our best efforts some information remains elusive whilst we accept that some errors are likely to remain. Notice of any mistakes should be sent to [email protected]. The results sequence can be kept up to date by purchasing copies of the annual Local Elections Handbook, details of which can be obtained by contacting the email address above. Front cover: the graph shows the distribution of percentage vote shares over the period covered by the results. The lines reflect the colours traditionally used by the three main parties. The grey line is the share obtained by Independent candidates while the purple line groups together the vote shares for all other parties. Rear cover: the top graph shows the percentage share of council seats for the main parties as well as those won by Independents and other parties. The lines take account of any by- election changes (but not those resulting from elected councillors switching party allegiance) as well as the transfers of seats during the main round of local election.

    Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Bus Stop Accessibility Programme 2016-2017 Background • RBWM is undertaking a program of works to improve accessibility at bus stops. This includes the provision of raised kerbs and level access. • Works have been undertaken at bus stops which do not meet the required minimum kerb height of 125mm. • In the majority of cases, the pavement adjacent to the raised kerb has been resurfaced, to provide a smooth surface and level access from kerb to bus. • The program initially focused on bus stops within Windsor and Maidenhead town centres. It has subsequently been expanded on a rolling basis, by bus route.
