We would like to welcome you all back and hope that you have had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year. All the staff would like to thank you very much for your generous gifts that were given at the end of last term.

Website We will be regularly adding photographs to the Gallery section of the Website rather than the Newsletter so please keep checking the website.

Clubs Please ensure all club forms are returned with full payment ASAP to ensure that your child does not miss out on a place.

Saturday Morning Sports Activities – Years 5-8 The Saturday Sports Activity Club for Years 5-8, run by Mr Laudy, will take place this Saturday 10th January. It will run from 10.00am-12.00pm. Please email Mr Laudy by midday on Friday at the latest, should you wish your son to take part. Mr Laudy’s email address is [email protected] Please note in order for the club to run there must be a minimum of eight children present.

Lester Bowden – Waterproof Fittings On Monday 12th January, Lester Bowden will be here to fit cagoules and trousers for all those children who have requested a fitting. Should your child wish to be included, please return your form to the office by Friday. (Tomorrow)

Phil the Bag Day Please take this opportunity to have a ‘clear out’ of any unused clothing, shoes, handbags, belts, hats, curtains, towels and bedding to help raise money for the KHA. You may drop any heavy bags at the front of the school in the morning from 8am where we will have staff on hand to help take them from you.

Year 7 trip to Sky News Studios

The Year 7 boys had a fantastic visit to Sky News Studios. There will be more information in next week’s newsletter.

Reception and First Class Big Read On Thursday 15th January from 10.30am -11.30am Reception and First Class will be participating in ‘The Big Read’. We shall be reading to the children and taking part in reading related activities. If any parents have any children they would like to bring along to join in, you will be most welcome. This will be taking place in the Hall.

Prep School Parent Information Event-current Year 7 and 8 pupils On Saturday 31st January at 1200 noon there will be an information event at Castle School, which will last approximately 45 minutes, to explain the forthcoming changes to the GCSE curriculum and exams. If you are interested in attending please email Ewell Castle directly no later than Friday 16th January to confirm your place at [email protected]; stating the name of the event, that your child currently attends Kingswood House School and how many will be attending.

Roadworks - Malden Rushett Junction Rushett Lane is closed for a six week period from 5th January. A final closure of Fairoak Lane then takes place from late February. Throughout these works the A243 Leatherhead Road will not close. As per previous arrangements, during road closures, traffic will not be able to make right hand turns at the junction.
