Where a driver has not been identified for a camera-detected speeding offence, we hold no Date of Birth on the system and therefore cannot report a comprehensive breakdown by age. Where we have a value, however, the breakdown of age at time of offence (including both camera and officer-issued tickets) is: Age Total 17 195 18 824 19 1604 20 1551 21 2094 22 2477 23 2905 24 2718 25 3532 26 3451 27 3243 28 3799 29 3791 30 3369 31 3784 32 4034 33 3323 34 4319 35 4176 36 4168 37 3588 38 4095 39 4320 40 4399 41 4461 42 5082 43 5191 44 5098 45 5686 46 5929 47 4828 48 6039 49 5640 50 4806 51 6007 52 4768 53 5100 54 4686 55 4747 56 4043 57 5188 58 3644 59 4062 60 3658 61 3220 62 3526 63 3550 64 3343 65 2580 66 2593 67 3029 68 3231 69 3350 70 2564 71 2509 72 1996 73 1997 74 2048 75 1297 76 1495 77 1380 78 1242 79 1119 80 900 81 811 82 648 83 534 84 436 85 375 86 282 87 221 88 177 89 98 90 45 91 49 92 41 93 21 94 10 95 8 96 8 97 2 98 2 99 1 103 1 Similarly, the gender of the offender is not recorded as a mandatory field, and is only captured for the roadside-issued tickets, not the camera-detected offences, so we can only report on a fraction of the total. The breakdown where we have a recorded value is therefore: Female 2852 Male 12018 Unknown 31 Total 14901 Regarding locations, as the value is entered manually as written on the officer-issued tickets, there is not a definitive list from which to select and therefore any breakdown is not especially meaningful. However, please see the attached list of what is held. OVERVIEW of the ALUN SCHOOL and the TOWN OF MOLD Our school is a large co-educational 11-18 comprehensive school with a roll of 1700 students, including over 400 in the Sixth Form, serving Mold and the surrounding villages. We are over- subscribed and attract applications from other parts of the county into all year groups. The good resources, teaching standards and continuing professional development for staff enables our students to be offered a wide range of opportunities and experiences. Mold is just inside the Welsh border in the county of Flintshire. We are an English-medium school, meaning that all courses and school business is conducted in English, but all students study the Welsh language as part of their curriculum and take the equivalent of a short-course GCSE qualification. The school is the largest in Flintshire and shares the campus with Mold Sports Centre which gives our students access to very good sporting facilities. There is also a specialist Hearing Support Centre attached to the school. Pastoral Structure of the School There are twelve ‘feeder’ primary schools and the vast majority of students in these are automatically allocated places on the basis of their home postcode being nearer to the Alun School than any other high school. These students account for up to three-quarters of the places each year. After this students are admitted under specific criteria until the standard number is reached. On entering the school, each student is assigned to one of four Houses – Clwyd, Dyfed, Gwent and Powys. A variety of information, including family connections, is taken into consideration when making allocations to Houses.

  • View the Environment Department Plan for 2021/22
The Environment Department The Environment Department leads on the following main areas: Planning and Building Control Public Protection Transportation and the Countryside Together with the day to day work outlined below, this Department leads on the following priority projects: Public Protection Capacity – (Improvement Priority 7) Climate Change Action Plan – (Improvement Priority 8) Naturally, the Covid-19 crisis and the restrictions pertaining to it have had a considerable impact on all the department's services, with many e.g. our Public Protection services undertaking quite different work to the norm, and this under pressure. We have established a completely new service, the Test, Trace and Protect Service, and we have had to find different solutions to ensure that we can continue to provide other services. All of this has had an impact on the usual way the department is run, and on our priorities during 2020/21. The challenge of restoring and stabilising will face us during 2021/22, and we will use the lessons that have arisen from the crisis when considering the shape of our future services. Planning and Building Control Planning Service Joint Planning Policy Service, (Gwynedd and Anglesey) Building Control Service Planning Service The purpose of this service is to facilitate and manage sustainable developments for the benefit of our communities, the economy and the environment within the Gwynedd planning authority area (which does not include the National Park area). During 2019/20, over 1,000 general planning enquiries / pre-application enquiries were received. We make decisions on planning applications to develop land and deal with approximately 1,100 planning applications annually and, on average, over 91% of applications are granted permission.
