Andrew’s first game was against Griffith East Public School, not only did Andrew score one try, his team went on to claim victory 28-16. His second game was against Hillston Central School in which his team drew 16-16. An- drew scored his second try at this competition. Andrews’s final game was against Yenda Public School. Although his team went down 36-24, Andrew scored another try. Considering Andrew and his teammates had not played together before this competition, they are to be congrat- ulated on their wonderful results. Thank you to Lyn and Richard White for transporting and supporting Andrew. Thank you also to Mr Andrew Lavaka (Griffith Rugby League Development Officer) for allowing Andrew to play in the Griffith Small Schools Team. Caroline Stewart Page 4 Ardlethan Central School What a superb day of celebrating books and reading we had. During the morning session students completed Literacy activities in groups around specific books. It was then time to look at the illustrations in the books and the important role they have in telling the story. Students formed new groups and completed Art based activities around other short listed books. The day culminated in a scav- enger hunt using the book themes as clues and QR codes, fol- lowed by a trivia quiz.
