OUTREACH INITIATIVES The following outreach initiatives were completed by the SEU during the reporting period: A. Job Fairs The SEU participated in the following virtual career fair during the reporting period to disseminate fulltime job openings and information about careers in broadcasting. The SEU reviewed candidate applications and resumes for future job openings. 4/09/2021 San Francisco City Career Fair Virtual B. Mentoring Program Designed for Station Personnel to acquire skills for higher level positions The SEU has a mentoring program for full-time employees to enhance their skills and experience, improve job performance and prepare personnel for higher-level radio management roles. This program is designed to also promote diversity and opportunities for women and minorities in key decision-making positions. During this reporting period, the SEU’s General Manager has been training and mentoring the current General Sales Manager to become General Manager, including total budgeting process, being exposed to the license renewal process, and recruitment for station personnel C. Job Banks and Internet Programs The SEU participated in job banks and internet programs designed to provide general information about opportunities in broadcasting and to encourage individuals to consider future employment in radio broadcasting careers. Management and EEO Training The Salem Vice President of Human Resources conducts monthly HR Network Training sessions via teleconference and Power Point Presentations, which also includes reviews of EEO policies and compliance. The SEU’s Business Manager participates in the training sessions each month and then routinely communicates with SEU’s General Manager and other management team members to keep all employees appraised of the company and SEU’s policy on equal employment.
