29 May 2005 PANASONIC TOYOTA RACING: EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX - RACE ROUND-UP A difficult afternoon's work at the European Grand Prix saw Panasonic Toyota Racing's Jarno Trulli pick up a point for 8th place. Trulli made a strong start to be up to third early on but a drive through penalty earned for a starting grid infringement by the team dropped him down the order. A gritty drive from there ensured that the Italian secured another points finish. Ralf Schumacher had an even harder race after he became involved in a first corner clash and had to pit for a new nose. He was battling up through the field when he spun shortly after half distance. After a successful evening of haute cuisine by German chef Johann Lafer on Saturday this result was slightly harder to swallow but it keeps Toyota in 3rd place in the constructors' championship on 44 points. EURO FIGHTER Jarno Trulli battled all day to bring his car home in 8th place finish, enough to keep him in the top three of the drivers' championship on 27 points. It could have been more but for an early drive through penalty for an infringement on the grid that dropped him down the order. Jarno Trulli (Car 16, Chassis TF105/02) Race Classification: 8th Gap: +71.091s (from race winner) Qualifying Classification: 4th Time: 1m 30.700s (+0.617s) Grid: 4th "After an afternoon like that, a point is certainly better than nothing, but it could have been much more. Unfortunately we had a problem firing up the engine on the grid and because of those few seconds we earned a drive through penalty that completely spoiled my chances.

The Toyota Work Experience 60 March 2007 edition | 3 Foreword Dear Reader, Since the early 1960’s, Toyota’s presence in Europe has grown and changed, keeping pace with the changing vehicle tastes and requirements of the European public. Since 1992, when the first of our European production facilities was opened in the UK, Toyota has invested over €6 billion throughout Europe. We now employ over 55,000 people, have eight European manufacturing facilities, and a ninth set to become operational in Russia in 2007. But the construction of vehicle and engine assembly plants is only part of the story. Over the past year, we also expanded our technical centre in Belgium, investing an additional €75 million to ensure that Toyota and Lexus vehicles continue to meet the high engineering and design standards of European customers. Another major investment was the new European Global Production Centre in the UK, established for the training of production staff and supervisors from all over Europe. Toyota also continues to invest heavily in the training of our engineering and management staff, as well as our retail and marketing teams. Programmes such as Toyota’s Graduate Development Programme, the School for Retail Development and the Management Development Programme have been designed to ensure that all of our personnel are highly trained in their respective fields.

10 June 2007 PANASONIC TOYOTA RACING CANADIAN GRAND PRIX – RACE ROUND-UP ISLAND STRIFE Panasonic Toyota Racing will leave Montreal with a single point courtesy of Ralf Schumacher following a dramatic Canadian Grand Prix that featured a total of four safety car periods. Ralf started in 18th place with a heavy fuel load. Following the first two interruptions for the safety car he was the last driver to pit on lap 39 by which time he was running as high as 3rd. By the time the race order settled down he took the flag in 8th. Jarno Trulli lined up 10th on the grid and kept that position for much of the first stint. Then he was hit from behind by Robert Kubica’s BMW, an incident that led to a severe impact and led to one of the safety car periods. Jarno suffered some damage to his right rear tyre and he was forced to pit. He came in again after just one lap on the option tyre. During the rest of the interrupted race he ran as high as 6th but he spun out on lap 58, just after his last schedule d pit stop. The Toyota team will now travel to Indianapolis for next week’s US Grand Prix.
