    ROCH VOISINE Roch Voisine est né le 26 mars 1963 à Edmundston, au Nouveau-Brunswick, et a grandi à Saint-Basile. Il est le père de 2 garçons, Kilian et Alix-Élouan. Pendant son adolescence, il débuta une carrière d'hockeyeur, tout en faisant ses études secondaires à l'École technique de Métiers de Lauzon et à la Polyvalente de Lévis à Québec et enfin à l’Université d’Ottawa où il a obtenu son diplôme en physiothérapie. Il arrêtera sa carrière de hockeyeur suite à une blessure. 1986 à 1991 Les débuts Le baptême musical de Roch Voisine se fait à l'été 1986, alors qu'il chante devant plus de 50,000 personnes à la Ronde de Montréal, à l'occasion de la Fête du Canada. Puis, après de nombreux passages remarqués au petit écran, il anime en 1988 « Top Jeunesse », une émission de télévision qui lui attire la faveur du public. L'année suivante, il interprète Danny Ross, un des rôles principaux de la populaire télé série "Lance et compte". En juin 1989, il lance son premier album, Hélène, qui devient en peu de temps un grand succès au Québec et qui conquiert le marché français quelques mois plus tard. À l'automne, il fait une première tournée au Québec dans plus de 50 villes et devant plus de 130 000 personnes. À peine trois semaines après la sortie de l'album en France, au mois de septembre, Hélène occupe la première position du Top 50 et y demeurera pendant neuf semaines consécutives. Le succès de Roch Voisine est fulgurant et spectaculaire.

Roch n’a pas une enfance facile car ses parents divorcent alors qu’il n’a que 5 ans ; il passera beaucoup de temps chez ses Grands-parents et c’est dans leur maison qu’il entend des chansons de ‘’ crooners’’ tels que: Franck Sinatra, Dean Martin ou encore Bing Crosby. Adolescent sportif, il pratique le hockey sur glace et souhaite devenir joueur professionnel, tout en faisant ses études secondaires à l'École technique de métiers de Lauzon Lévis. Parallèlement, passionné de musique, il se produit pour la première fois sur scène en juillet 1986 à Montréal, à l’occasion de la Fête du Canada. Peu de temps après, une blessure l’oblige à abandonner son rêve de devenir joueur professionnel de hockey.
