Arts connect Following the success of the interfaith Caravan Festival of the Noongar language revitalised Arts held at the historic St John’s Church in Cairo over the last two years, a new and broader festival with the theme of ‘My Neighbour’ will open on 3 February. The goal of the upcoming festival is to build bridges between East and West, Muslim and Christian, through the visual arts, literature, film and music. The initiative has generated attention from the international media and art world over the last two years and exceeded all expectations. The Caravan Festival of the Arts comes out of an Operation Mobilization vision that the arts can be one of the most effective mediums to enhance understanding and deepen respect between the Middle East and the West. Queens Club is our artist of the month. Can you spot five differences between the two pictures below? Jesus Calls the First Disciples

Matthew 4; Mark 2 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Peter and Andrew. They were fishermen, and they were throwing a net into the lake. “Come follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him. Later Jesus saw two other brothers, James and John. They were in a boat with their father, preparing their nets. Jesus called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. Once again Jesus went beside the lake. As he walked along, he saw Levi sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” Jesus told him. And Levi got up and followed him.
