moved around to music and pretended to fly over the Savannah in a hot air balloon! Such magical memories created that day. While we were on our walk, and for the days after, we thought about road safety, and this was linked with the national Beep Beep! Day. We welcomed Lucia into preschool, and the children had a calm and thought provoking yoga session, based around the changing of seasons and looking to Winter, and what this means to us and the environment. Our parents are so supportive and generously gave their time at a weekend this month to work on our much loved garden. We are so grateful to them for filling up our sandpit, fixing our water pump in the mud kitchen and having a good sort and tidy. Thank you!

e are having such a busy but Wwonderful time at preschool, and the children have been part of lovely experiences, in preschool and during our outings and excursions. We had our first outing to Bath in November, where the children went on the train, walked through the shopping centre and went to The Egg theatre, where they all thoroughly enjoyed “The Elephant’s Child” being performed. The children listened attentively to the story, and then had fun joining in with interactive activities, where they

24 Our forest adventures have been lovely, with walks taking us to The Friary where we met some very friendly pigs and enjoyed the views, the old water pump and a wall we have named “Humpty Dumpty’s” wall, which allows the children to develop their jumping skills alongside risk benefit play. Barry’s weekly sports sessions have shown such amazing progression from all the children, with their listening and attention skills being developed as well as their gross motor skills, namely with the hurdles this term.

We are always trying to find ways to involve the children in all aspects of preschool life, and this month they all helped to make their own meal! The children prepared the ingredients, thinking about all the different food groups making up their meal which comprised of falafel, rice, broccoli, corn on the cob and houmous, followed by seasonal fruit and ice cream.
