Latthe Education Society’s Smt. Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya,
Jaysingpur was reaccredited by NAAC with ‘B’ Grade under new scheme in August 2010. The
Internal Quality Assurance Cell has been formed as a part of accreditated quality sustenance & improvement activity in accordance with the guidelines given by NAAC.

IQAC plans to work for conscious and consistent improvement of our college. It aims to channelize the efforts of the institute towards excellence.
The IQAC intends that college should strive for progress in all directions, academic, cultural, sports, community services, resources & infrastructural development for its mission of

The IQAC planned to organize, Seminars and workshop for teaching as well as administrative staff. It also intends to encourage its staff to participate in national & international level conferences, seminars & workshop so that students and staff of college can achieve all round development. With this goal in view different associations like Literary Association,
Cultural Association, Social Science Association and Alumni Association have been formed which work throughout the academic year by arranging functions, sports, seminars and various university
& State as well as National level competitions.
In the light of supremacy of the region in cooperative movement the college is in process of planning International Seminar on , Global Challenges before Cooperative Movement” as the year 2012 is International Cooperative Year.

Annual Plan of Action -2010-2011
Plan of action chalked out by the IQAC (Internal Quality assurance cell) of our college in the beginning of the academic year towards quality enhancement. Smt.Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur 3 ______AQAR-2010 – 2011______
A. Infrastructure Development .
For the smooth running & administration of college & to enhance quality through
development of infrastructural facilities college has decided to
1) To complete the on-going construction of ladies hostel with all necessary amenities
2) To construct 1st Floor on the existing UVG hall so that 4 Class rooms could be made
available.
3) Purchasing Furniture for class rooms, Office & library
4) To construct multi-purpose badminton hall. (A proposal for this purpose is to be
forwarded to UGC Delhi for financial assistance).
5) To purchase sports materials & update gym.
6) To increase the number of cycle stands.
7) To erect one more water tank for increased number of students.
8) To complete the construction of compound wall.
9) To construct 5 rooms; this could be available for special subjects.
These infrastructural development plans would be a significant addition to the existing
infrastructural set-up of the college.
B. Teaching Learning & Evaluation
To enhance overall quality of teaching learning & evaluation college has decided to take
up following steps.
1) Using OHP, LCD, Educational CDs, & other advanced techniques.
2) To complete the establishment work of language laboratory

3) Purchasing text books, reference books, journals & magazines as per the requirements of
changed curriculum
4) To introduce short courses such as Beauty parlor, Human Right, Bank & Share market &
Criminal psychology.
5) To develop E-Library
6) Conducting tutorials, periodical tests to keep students engaged in academic activities.
7) To organize group discussions & class room seminars for students
8) To organize lectures of the experts in various discipline
9) To provide financial support to needy students by way of Bus pass, fee concessions.
to enable them to attend class regularly.
10) To increase number of cycles in the existing Cycle Bank Scheme which is a novel
feature of our college.
11) To provide intensive / remedial teaching for the needy students.
12) To conduct spoken English classes.
13) To introduce computer training program for students as per direction of university.
14) To introduce a course in Value Education.
15) To implement feedback scheme.
16) To implement earn & learn scheme for meritorious & poor students.
C. Research, Consultancy & Extension
Research consultancy and extension are the backbone for quality enhancement.
Therefore following activities are introduced.
1) To organize Seminars, Workshops, Group Discussions so that teachers could be
encouraged to make use of modern techniques of teaching & to inspire them to take

2) To encourage students for one project based on their respective curriculums which
facilitates research papers.
3) To organize State & University level Workshops & Seminars in Transactional Analysis for
teachers & students as well
4) To encourage teachers to participate in UGC sponsored Orientation & Refresher courses.
5) To organize rallies to create awareness about AIDS, Superstitions, Tree plantation & other
national programs in Jaysingpur as well as in the village adopted by NSS Unit of our
college.
6) To organize 10 days special camp in the adopted village through NSS.
7) To conduct Spoken English classes for students & teachers.
8) To make a Socio-economic survey of four representative villages
9) To organize special programs to encourage reading culture through Book Exhibition &
Reader’s Club.
10) To organize Best Reader Competition.
11) To circulate Granthlaya Parichay– a pamphlet – amongst the newly admitted students.
12) To purchase updated Audio Visual educational material.
13) To make available Reprography facility in the library.
D. Students supports & progression & Healthy practices
The student community is the main stakeholder in educational setup. In this regard for
students support & progression and healthy practices the college has decided to take following
steps.

LES started in 1951 with commitment for educational upliftment of masses of cherished goal
Samyag darshan, charity. This RATNATRAY is guidepost for its future plans.
1) To establish from time to time colleges, schools, hostels, on the resolved places & to study
Jainism, Jain Literature, Jain Philosophy & Shraman Sanskriti, to make all educational
facilities available & thereby inspire & propagate the goals & aims.

In order to ensure academic improvement of students various class-room activities such as periodical tests, group discussions along with home assignment were planned & taken up in the 1 st term. Taken On Student Feedback
Students Assessment of teacher is introduced for B.A , B.Com., B.C.A. & P.G.D.C.A.
courses. Based on Student feedback relevant instructions are given to concerned teachers.
Special Diagnostic Test is conducted for identifying for difficult topics in each topic on the
basis of which remedial teaching is provided.

Administration of the office has been totally computerized. There are six Computers with updated software. A list of the admitted students, results of Junior college are prepared on computers. Receipts issued to students are also computerized. Computerized Bonfide Certificates,
Identity Cards are prepared & issued to students. Even roll-calls are prepared on computers. Day
Book is computerized & various kinds of reports are prepared through specially developed software.

28) Computer & Internet Access & Training to Teachers & Students:
Internet facility has been made available for students and staff of the college
and they are always encouraged to make maximum use of internet facility to update
their knowledge. This is coordinated through convenient batches of students.
29) Financial Aid to Students:
Our college, through its Students Welfare Fund, helps extremely poor students by
providing financial assistance for admission, purchasing books, clothes & other necessary
articles. Along with this, college provides bicycles to the needy students which helps
commuting expenses.
In addition to the above, all Government Scholarships, Freeships & other
Government Financial Assistance is also provided to students. The Students Welfare Fund
committee functions through its members & selects the needy students.

30) Activities & support from Alumni Association:
A meeting of the Alumni Association was held. It was decided to organize a get-together
function of the Alumnies and accordingly the function was organized. Near about 100
students were present for the function & they appreciated the efforts put in by the institute for
overall development of students for all these years and making them capable to live in
society as ideal citizens of the country. They promised to extend their wholehearted co-
operation for activities of the college to be carried out for future quality enhancement of the
students community & the institute as well.
31) Activities & Support from the Teacher- Parents Association:
The institute always remains in touch with the parents regarding the progress &
conduct of their wards. A meeting of the Association was organized.
Parents expressed their satisfaction regarding functioning of the institute and overall
personality development of their wards. They also promised to extend their co-operation as
per the requirement of our college.

1) The Kho-Kho women team secured third place in Kolhapur Interzonal Competition.
2) Individual performance in Shivaji University Zonal & Inter Zonal competition-

34) Incentive to Outstanding Sport Persons
Our college has been always interested in promotion of sports. It has encouraged
the students to actively participate in various sports activities. They are given intensive
coaching as per requirement. Similarly blazers, track-suits and shorts are provided to them.
The expenses for participation in various competitions are always borne by the college. Apart
from all this they are given concessions in admission fees and free physical checkup.

the proper study habits amongst students.
Similarly Programs & work-shops such as Transactional Analysis and
Development of Inter-Personal Relations were also organized. Besides guidance regarding
subject choice & competitive exam was offered to students & the department also organized

Various Student oriented programs were organized. Attempts were made to encourage
& motivate Students for their overall development. Similarly by carrying various activities
they were always kept in touch with the social national issues. In the light of the dedicated
work done by the college for poor girl students the society responded positively. We
received donation of Rs. 75000/ from Runwal family Pune as token of gratitude expressed
by them. The students in Earn and Learn scheme are financially supported from the interest
of the donation.

Hon. Secretary of our institution has encouraged us to embark on ambitious growth plan. This further contributed by NACC peer team suggestions and guidance. Based on these inputs the vision of our college is to become center of excellence in women’s educations, It has set certain goals & objectives to be achieved. In order to succeed in its mission, it has certain plans for the next year as follows.
