Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur was reaccredited by NAAC with ‘B’ Grade under new scheme in August 2010. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell has been formed as a part of accreditated quality sustenance & improvement activity in accordance with the guidelines given by NAAC. Dekhane Office Superintendent IQAC plans to work for conscious and consistent improvement of our college. It aims to channelize the efforts of the institute towards excellence. The IQAC intends that college should strive for progress in all directions, academic, cultural, sports, community services, resources & infrastructural development for its mission of Smt.Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur 2 ___________________________________________________AQAR-2010 – 2011__________ liberation of women through education. The IQAC planned to organize, Seminars and workshop for teaching as well as administrative staff. It also intends to encourage its staff to participate in national & international level conferences, seminars & workshop so that students and staff of college can achieve all round development. With this goal in view different associations like Literary Association, Cultural Association, Social Science Association and Alumni Association have been formed which work throughout the academic year by arranging functions, sports, seminars and various university & State as well as National level competitions. In the light of supremacy of the region in cooperative movement the college is in process of planning International Seminar on , Global Challenges before Cooperative Movement” as the year 2012 is International Cooperative Year. Shri.A.B.Kadam Dr.V.B.Kakade Coordinator Principal SECTION A Annual Plan of Action -2010-2011 Plan of action chalked out by the IQAC (Internal Quality assurance cell) of our college in the beginning of the academic year towards quality enhancement. Smt.Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur 3 ___________________________________________________AQAR-2010 – 2011__________ A. Infrastructure Development . For the smooth running & administration of college & to enhance quality through development of infrastructural facilities college has decided to 1) To complete the on-going construction of ladies hostel with all necessary amenities 2) To construct 1st Floor on the existing UVG hall so that 4 Class rooms could be made available. 3) Purchasing Furniture for class rooms, Office & library 4) To construct multi-purpose badminton hall. (A proposal for this purpose is to be forwarded to UGC Delhi for financial assistance). 5) To purchase sports materials & update gym. 6) To increase the number of cycle stands. 7) To erect one more water tank for increased number of students. 8) To complete the construction of compound wall. 9) To construct 5 rooms; this could be available for special subjects. These infrastructural development plans would be a significant addition to the existing infrastructural set-up of the college. B. Teaching Learning & Evaluation To enhance overall quality of teaching learning & evaluation college has decided to take up following steps. 1) Using OHP, LCD, Educational CDs, & other advanced techniques. 2) To complete the establishment work of language laboratory Smt.Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur 4 ___________________________________________________AQAR-2010 – 2011__________ 3) Purchasing text books, reference books, journals & magazines as per the requirements of changed curriculum 4) To introduce short courses such as Beauty parlor, Human Right, Bank & Share market & Criminal psychology. 5) To develop E-Library 6) Conducting tutorials, periodical tests to keep students engaged in academic activities. 7) To organize group discussions & class room seminars for students 8) To organize lectures of the experts in various discipline 9) To provide financial support to needy students by way of Bus pass, fee concessions. to enable them to attend class regularly. 10) To increase number of cycles in the existing Cycle Bank Scheme which is a novel feature of our college. 11) To provide intensive / remedial teaching for the needy students. 12) To conduct spoken English classes. 13) To introduce computer training program for students as per direction of university. 14) To introduce a course in Value Education. 15) To implement feedback scheme. 16) To implement earn & learn scheme for meritorious & poor students. C. Research, Consultancy & Extension Research consultancy and extension are the backbone for quality enhancement. Therefore following activities are introduced. 1) To organize Seminars, Workshops, Group Discussions so that teachers could be encouraged to make use of modern techniques of teaching & to inspire them to take Smt.Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur 5 ___________________________________________________AQAR-2010 – 2011__________ minor/major research projects 2) To encourage students for one project based on their respective curriculums which facilitates research papers. 3) To organize State & University level Workshops & Seminars in Transactional Analysis for teachers & students as well 4) To encourage teachers to participate in UGC sponsored Orientation & Refresher courses. 5) To organize rallies to create awareness about AIDS, Superstitions, Tree plantation & other national programs in Jaysingpur as well as in the village adopted by NSS Unit of our college. 6) To organize 10 days special camp in the adopted village through NSS. 7) To conduct Spoken English classes for students & teachers. 8) To make a Socio-economic survey of four representative villages 9) To organize special programs to encourage reading culture through Book Exhibition & Reader’s Club. 10) To organize Best Reader Competition. 11) To circulate Granthlaya Parichay– a pamphlet – amongst the newly admitted students. 12) To purchase updated Audio Visual educational material. 13) To make available Reprography facility in the library. D. Students supports & progression & Healthy practices The student community is the main stakeholder in educational setup. In this regard for students support & progression and healthy practices the college has decided to take following steps. Smt.Gangabai Khivaraj Ghodawat Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jaysingpur 6 ___________________________________________________AQAR-2010 – 2011__________ 1) To provide financial support to needy students –Bus pass, fee concessions Scholarships and in other academic facilities. 2) Counseling of SC/ST / NT/OBC students for making them well aware of the scholarships available for them. 3) Counseling and providing guidance for competitive examinations 4) Counseling of students career development. 5) To organize meeting of Alumni Association. 6) To organize Parents Meetings with teachers. 7) To organize Health Awareness Camps. 8) To organize Trips & Excursions. 9) To implement Earn & Learn Scheme for students. 10) To organize Workshops for Non-teaching staff of the college. 11) To organize visits of Physicians to look after the health problems of students & staff. 12) To encourage students participation in cultural programs such as Youth Festival, Latte Festival.
