• Friendly Reminders: o Reading is a great way to beat our summer heat. We have a lending library in Dave and Jeff’s office. Come in and check out a book and learn more about our area. o Remember to follow us on Facebook. o Your Union Steward Karen is still recruiting volunteers to join the SMMVU. She still hasn’t figured out what kind of grievances the union has, but I’m sure she will come up with something. o Even though the summer season is slow, we still have a few things going on around here. The small trains run in the barn everyday from 10-2, with the awesome video created by Lou Oates. Jon the Cowboy Blacksmith, Concho the old saddle tramp, and Chuckwagon Wanda and Digger are here on Saturdays from 10-2 entertaining our visitors, and Morgan Earp can occasionally be seen walking our paths looking for bad guys to chase off. • Call for Volunteers: o The Stamp Mill is looking for volunteers who wish to become Millmen or Docents. If you are interested, please let me know. o If you are interested in helping to clean up and restore our various mannequins in our exhibits and displays, please let me know. o If you are interested in becoming a Docent so you can lead tours and groups, please let me know and I can get you started on your training. • Scroll down to to see the latest installment of “have you met…?” by Stacy Osegueda.
