HEAVY-DUTY CABLE CRANE FOR DAM CONSTRUCTION IN PERU To ensure the optimum conditions for safe and efficient material handling for the construction of the Cerro del Águila Dam in Peru, a contract was awarded to AGUDIO to supply a radial cable crane with an incredible 28-ton capacity. The dam is located in an area with very steep valleys with limited access. Almost all the construction materials must be delivered to the site with the help of a cable crane. The dam is being built for Consorcio Rio Mantaro, a group that includes the Italian Astaldi company and the Peruvian Graña y Montero company.
