A crowd turned out at our monthly mixer in July and enjoyed tremendous food provided by Baxter's Restaurant at the Rutland Country Club. What a great business and golf course this is in our region. They are a valued Chamber member.

Killington Classic Motorcycle Touring Rally Arrives, Thursday, August 27th The Killington Classic Motorcycle Touring Rally will start on Thursday, August 27th and be in the area through August 30th bringing hundreds of motorcyclists to the region. There will also be a scavenger hunt, guided tours including a Covered Bridge Tour, scavenger hunt, poker run and much more!

This year's Killington Classic will feature the annual Parade to Rutland (6:30pm) and Block Party (thanks to the Downtown Rutland Partnership) in Downtown Rutland

Come see the bikes parading from Killington, over 800 motorcycles visit downtown, many downtown businesses will offer extended hours. , the event is open to the public and will take place at 6:30pm following the bike parade from Killington to Rutland. Everybody welcome, motorcycles should line up starting at 5pm on the Killington Rd. The parade will be led by the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, Vermont Chapter III and Vermont Lt. Phil Scott.

Makers Fair August 1st! Rutland Economic Development Corporation (REDC), in collaboration with regional and local organizations, will be hosting a Makers Faire during Sidewalk Sale Days on Saturday, August 1st, from 9:00 to 3:00 on Merchants Row in front of the Energy Innovation Center (EIC). Robot battles and displays will be located inside the EIC, with craftsman and hobbyists displaying their crafts under tents in the street.

There will be 3D printing demonstrations, virtual reality technology, drone demonstrations, fly tying and custom fishing rods, hand-made specialty knives, leather crafting, jewelry making, and more will be on display with demonstrations for adults and children to enjoy.

VT NH Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl August 1st at Castleton University! The 62nd Annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl will be played at Castleton University's Spartan Field, Saturday, August 1 as an evening game, with kick-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The annual parade will take place in the Town of Castleton at 3pm.

The Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Football Game is played between two all-star teams of graduated high school seniors from Vermont & New Hampshire. The game is preceded by a spectacular parade of Shrine Units from throughout the Northeast Region. It is one of 30 Shrine Football Games played every year across the country.
