Bailey Tomkinson Bio

Bailey Tomkinson is a Singer/Songwriter hailing from St Ives, Cornwall, who made national headlines in February 2020, when as an unsigned, unmanaged artist, she outsold Dua Lipa and The Pussycat Dolls to reach number one in the iTunes Video charts.

Featured in The Times, Metro and The Mail Online along with a double page spread in Hello Magazine and a live performance and interview on BBC R4's Woman's Hour, her mastery of pop-country hooks and relatable emotional storytelling has earned her comparison with early Taylor Swift & Emmylou Harris on BBC Radio 2 from country music legend Brad Paisley.

With her last 3 singles reaching #1 across multiple iTunes single and video charts, Bailey has quickly emerged as one of the UK scene’s most promising acts. Regularly receiving 20,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, her single ‘Movie Scene’ has been streamed nearly 200,000 times and earned placement on the ‘Very Nearly Nashville’ editorial playlist.

During lockdown she recorded and released her single “Silent Suffering” which entered the iTunes Country Music charts at number 1. She also recorded online sessions for Levi’s, Bodega Drinks and ’s socials.

Aged just 21, Bailey is currently in discussion with a number of major labels and has recently signed contracts with Select Models to join their prestigious talent board.

Where she really comes into her own is as a live performer capable of stunning sets both as a solo acoustic act or with her full band and she has just joined booking agents Midnight Mango’s roster. Building a strong festival reputation Bailey has previously supported KT Tunstal in the South West. This Summer will see her perform at a plethora of festivals including Boardmasters, The Great Estate, Rock Oyster and Chagstock. Just before lockdown she headlined a sold out show at the O2 Academy in Islington, London.

Extensive global radio airplay has included BBC Radio 2, Regional BBC radio, Chris Country, Country Hits UK and Siren FM. Her videos have appeared on Total Country and Keep it Country TV. Bailey has also been interviewed extensively in the music press and recorded a live set with CountryLine TV.

Raised in Milan, Brussels and Cornwall, Bailey plays both the Piano and Acoustic Guitar. A lover of the 1970's and photography, Bailey's musical influences include Sam Fender, The Eagles, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow, Carole King and .

When she's not performing, Bailey can be found surfing on Porthmeor Beach in Cornwall.
