The charity ARK’s (Absolute Return for Kids) ventures include school sponsorship, HIV/AIDS and orphans. They have established academy schools in the UK, based on the US charter schools. Gallucci, Ph.D. ABSTRACT During the late 1960’s, the President of Georgetown University noted that the School of Foreign Service was in a period of decline with applications decreasing; students in the School were unhappy and highly critical; the faculty was divided into bitterly opposed factions; a curriculum reform, which had been discussed for a long time, was at a standstill; and the school lacked strong administration, having had several acting deans (Krogh 2018, 36). With the appointment of Peter Krogh as Dean in 1970, came the mandate to completely revise the curriculum, to unify the faculty, and to restore the morale and discipline within the school, among both the students and the faculty. The question was, could the School be restored by the transformative leadership of a new dean, and would subsequent deans lead it steadily forward to become the best institution of its kind, with a focus on the University’s Catholic and Jesuit values. Relevant theories which inform the practice of leadership in higher education and Georgetown University’s Catholic Jesuit values will provide the background for an analysis of how today’s School of Foreign Service emerged from its “period of decline” to become the pre-eminent institution of its kind in the world.

The problem that prompted my research was the current process (and future probability) of President Barack Obama's image and legacy being drastically revised from the current perceptions held by most who observe him daily. In this study, the researcher utilized an empirical, symbolic, and rhetorical approach to conduct an Afrocentric data analysis. This process included a review of the foundational terms and concepts utilized to express the Afrocentric idea (including Afrocentricity, location, and agency), and ultimately led to new concepts, analytical tools, and theories based on the evidence manifested over the course this study. This text represents an attempt to seize the magnitude of the “Democratic day” that Barack Obama was elected in a way that it could strengthen understanding of the Afrocentric idea. Based upon the analytical foundation of Afrocentricity I presented a methodology described as Beneficial Extraction method that will highlight the information, examples, strategies and attributes that can be utilized, salvaged and implemented for the uplift of African people.
