Madison Tepatitlán de Sister City Committee

Mission The mission of Madison Tepatitlán Sister City Committee (MTSCC) is to build a mutual long‐term sustainable relationship between the people of Madison, , USA and Tepatitlán de Morelos, , . The Committee will develop and facilitate cultural, municipal, business, and educational exchanges between the two cities.

Structure For the time being, the Committee will function under the auspices of the Latino Chamber of Commerce, a 501c3 organization.

Goals The areas of cooperation will focus on a variety of issues of interest to both cities:  Economy, commerce, business, and investment: Development of strategies projects and programs that foster economic development.  Art and : Promotion of regional cultural and artistic expressions to create a better understanding of the culture and art of each community as well as promote appreciation for each city’s rich traditions and heritage.  Education: Promotion of academic exchanges for professors and students such as seminars, workshops, scholarships and exchange programs. Creation of better understanding amongst citizens through educational initiatives.

Work on these areas of interest will be achieved through:  Regular information exchange;  Fairs, seminars, workshops, and community forums;  Exchange between professionals in each area as well as between students and lay citizens; and  Annual visits by official delegations.
