Corona Cartel-Dash Ta Vanila, Dash Ta Fame Lisa Lockhart Alan Woodbury 22.11 Coming into Round 1 of the NFR, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi sat #1 in the World with the reigning World Champion Hailey Kinsel right behind her in #2. Many wondered if Kinsel would continue her NFR domination she has enjoyed with Sister in Vegas on the 13 second pattern the last 3 years, in the wide open standard pattern in Globe Life Field in Ar- lington. Kinsel & Sister didn’t wait long to answer that question, winning the first round with a quick 17.18. Tiany Schuster and her amazing sorrel, Show Mance, smoked a 17.25 to be second. Not wanting to let Kinsel get to far out in front of her, Tonozzi put up a fast 17.32 to win 3rd in the round. With Kinsel’s round win she moved to #1 in the world by $2,312 over Tonozzi! The wide open arena for the 1st and 2nd barrel and the 3rd barrel with a yellow NFR banner and cattle close to it led a few of the horse to go a little off course, but they will be dialed in for Round 2! Lisa Lockhart & Rosas Cantina Cc barely caught the 3rd barrel, adding 5 to what would have been a round winning run. Due to the changed prize money, from $10 million to $6 million, from Covid forcing the move from Vegas to Arlington, the NFR money is actually points for all the events, not reflecting actual money won. So the results, although showed as dollars, are actually points for 2020. Another note, for the first time ever, there was a tractor drag at the NFR. After 8 girls the tractor came in and worked the pattern. Jessie Telford replaced Dona Kay Rule due to Covid positive tests. After a bit of a trail ride on barrel 3 in Round 1, Lenaontherocks and 1st time NFR Qualifier Jimmie Smith executed a near perfect run of 17.04 in Round 2. They say smooth is fast, well this run was smooth and plenty fast! The pretty palomino pushed Smith up to #3 in the World with $101,252 with their round win. Kinsel & Sister ran just a little faster than in Round 1 for 2nd in Round 2.

King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Sponsored by QIPCO) Ascot Racecourse Background Information for the 65th Running Saturday, July 25, 2015 Winners of the Investec Derby going on to the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Sponsored by QIPCO) Unbeaten Golden Horn, whose victories this year include the Investec Derby and the Coral-Eclipse, will try to become the 14th Derby winner to go on to success in Ascot’s midsummer highlight, the Group One King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Sponsored by QIPCO), in the same year and the first since Galileo in 2001. Britain's premier all-aged 12-furlong contest, worth a boosted £1.215 million this year, takes place at 3.50pm on Saturday, July 25. Golden Horn extended his perfect record to five races on July 4 in the 10-furlong Group One Coral- Eclipse at Sandown Park, beating older opponents for the first time in great style. The three-year-old Cape Cross colt, owned by breeder Anthony Oppenheimer and trained by John Gosden in Newmarket, captured Britain's premier Classic, the Investec Derby, over 12 furlongs at Epsom Downs impressively on June 6 after being supplemented following a runaway Betfred Dante Stakes success at York in May. If successful at Ascot on July 25, Golden Horn would also become the fourth horse capture the Derby, Eclipse and King George in the same year. ËËË Three horses have completed the Derby/Eclipse/King George treble in the same year - Nashwan (1989), Mill Reef (1971) and Tulyar (1952). ËËË The 2001 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes saw Galileo become the first Derby winner at Epsom Downs to win the Ascot contest since Lammtarra in 1995.
