SEATTLE THUNDERBIRDS (6-1-1-0) PRE-GAME REPORT The Giants will get Captain Tyler Benson back into their lineup tonight. The 17-year-old Edmonton native has yet to play this season after undergoing pre-season surgery to repair a lower body ailment. Benson is projected to be a first round pick in next summer’s NHL Draft after tallying 45 points in 62 games in his rookie season in the WHL last year. The G-Men are coming off a 6-4 loss to the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday. Vancouver still holds the top ranked power play in the league (35.3%). The Thunderbirds haven’t lost in regulation since falling 3-2 to the Giants in their first game of the season back on September 25th at the Rink on Renfrew. As a result, the Seattle club has the league’s highest winning percentage (0.813). New York Islanders first round draft pick Mathew Barzal, who hails from Coquitlam, has been back in the Seattle lineup for five games since returning from NHL training camp. Over that span, Barzal has netted two goals and six assists. 2014/15 SEASON SERIES VS. SEATTLE 2015/16 SEASON SERIES VS.
