LEE NOBLE WILL PUT “HIS HEART ON HIS SLEEVE” ON MAY 10 London (5 May) Lee Noble will put his “heart on his sleeve” when he fights on the the undercard to Kid Galahad’s fight for the vacant Commonwealth title, live on Channel 5. The 27-year-old light middleweight, who has three straight victories to his name since returning to the sport in November, can feel “the momentum building” ahead of his fight on May 10 at Ponds Forge Arena, Sheffield. “It’s really good at the minute – I’ve always known and all the lads in the gym will tell you, that I’ve always had the talent and the ability but I haven’t been 100 percent focussed,” Lee said. “But, my mindset is completely different to two years ago – I want to succeed. “My training is going fantastic, I can feel the momentum building, I’ve just got to keep going – I’m just going to take it one step at a time.” The Barnsley fighter, Noble, who has been sparring with newly crowned British light heavyweight champion Bob Ajisafe and former WBC world light welterweight champion Junior Witter, returned to the ring in November, after a one year absence, to give the sport his all and retire without any regrets. Since returning, he boasts three straight victories, including a points win over local rival Dave Fidler for the International Masters light middleweight title. “Since November I’ve been on it constantly, I’ve not been going out with my mates and I’ve told them all not to bother ringing me at weekends or anything,” Lee said. “All I want to do is box – a couple of years dedication and see where I get and that way at least I know when I retire from boxing that I did give it a go and I gave it my all. “I want no questions, no stones unturned so that I know what I could have achieved and what I didn’t achieve. “Everybody is looking at me in a different way – I want to box the best kids – I can’t get any more experience, I’ve boxed world champions, European champions, British champions – I’ve been in with the best. “My heart is going on my sleeve and 10th of May you’ll see I’m going for it.” Lee fights on the undercard of fellow Ingle Gym fighter and newly crowned European super bantamweight champion Kid Galahad as he takes on Australian champion Fred ‘The General’ Mundraby for the vacant Commonwealth title. Also scheduled to fight in Sheffield is undefeated heavyweight sensation Hughie Lewis Fury and Morden’s former British champion and European title contender Lenny Daws, as well as a whole host of local talent..
