Major breakthrough for Seven with US commission for My Kitchen Rules FOX Broadcasting Company signs Seven to create My Kitchen Rules for the United States television market The Seven Network – Australia’s most-watched broadcast television platform and a key business of Seven West Media, one of Australia’s leading integrated media and content creation companies - today announced its next move in its long-term strategy in the development and creation of market-leading content in international markets. Building on the increasing international recognition of Seven’s created and produced My Kitchen Rules, the company today confirmed that FOX Broadcasting Company (FOX), one of the “big four” television networks in the United States has signed Seven to create and produce My Kitchen Rules for the United States. The programme – a celebrity version of the successful format - has commenced filming. Today’s signing with FOX for the United States builds on Seven’s agreement to create and produce My Kitchen Rules for Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and joins New Zealand, Serbia, Russia, Denmark, Belgium, Canada, Norway, Germany and Lithuania with “local” versions of the Seven format. In addition, the Australian version of My Kitchen Rules is seen in more than 160 territories around the world. Commenting, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Seven West Media, Tim Worner, said: “We are very excited to be working with FOX on this one. 1 Gender Roles & Occupations: A Look at Character Attributes and Job-Related Aspirations in Film and Television Stacy L. Smith, PhD Marc Choueiti Ashley Prescott & Katherine Pieper, PhD Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism University of Southern California An Executive Report Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media Our earlier research shows that gender roles are still stereotyped in entertainment popular with children.1 For example, female characters in feature films populate less than 30% of all speaking roles. A slightly better percentage emerges across our research on gender roles in children’s television programming. Not only are on screen females present less frequently than on screen males, they are often sexualized, domesticated, and sometimes lack gainful employment. To illustrate this last point, our recent analysis2 of every first run general audience film (n=21) theatrically released between September 2006 and September 2009 reveals that a higher percentage of males (57.8%) than females (31.6%) are depicted with an occupation. While females hold marginally more professional jobs than their male counterparts (24.6% vs. 20.9%), women are noticeably absent in some of the most prestigious occupational posts. Across more than 300 speaking characters, not one female is depicted in the medical sciences (e.g., doctor, veterinarian), executive business suites (e.g., CEO, CFO), legal world (e.g., attorney, judge), or political arena. More optimistically, 6 of the 65 working females (9%) are shown with a job in the hard sciences or as pilots/astronauts. These findings suggest that females have not shattered as many glass ceilings in the “reel” world as one might suspect. -

‘A CHRISTMAS FOR THE BOOKS’ Cast Bios CHELSEA KANE (Joanna Moret) – Chelsea Kane has been acting professionally since the age of nine when she landed the role of Young Kim in the national Broadway tour of Showboat. Kane most recently starred as Riley on Freeform’s long-running hit show, “Baby Daddy,” which won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Cable TV Comedy in 2017. Kane also starred in the original TV movies “Lovestruck” and “#Popfan,” and as Meredith in the theatrical release of Bratz. She enjoyed a recurring role on the final season of The CW’s “One Tree Hill” and was a fan favorite on season 12 of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” finishing as one of the three finalists. Kane was a series lead on Disney’s “Jonas” and the voice of Bea Goldfishberg in their animated series, “Fish Hooks.” In addition to voicing roles in Adult Swim's “Hot Streets” and “Rick and Morty,” Kane loves bringing life to Pow in the new Netflix series “Trolls.” ### DREW SEELEY (Ted Dinrise) – Drew Seeley grew up in Toronto where he first fell in love with performing. At age 11, he was cast in Hal Prince’s revival of Showboat and stayed with the production for a year. Two years later, he got his first guitar, began writing songs, and hasn’t looked back since. NEWS ACCESS RULES FOR TELEVISION, RADIO, MOBILE PLATFORM AND INTERNET FOR THE AUSTRALIAN TERRITORY APPLICABLE TO THE TOKYO OLYMPIC GAMES 2020 INTRODUCTION The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has granted Seven Network (Operations) Limited (SEVEN) the exclusive right to distribute, transmit, broadcast, communicate, exhibit and display to the public by any means and to any device (Transmit) the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 within Australia. No other organisation may Transmit within Australia sound or images of any Olympic event, including training venues, sporting action, the Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony and medal ceremonies, mixed zones, interviews or other activities which occur at Olympic Venues, including Olympic Village and Village Square, except as permitted by these News Access Rules (NAR), as set out below. These rules apply to all forms of Transmission, including television (including free to air and pay television, including digital channels, digital multi-channels, linear channels and services such as “News Active” or “Sports Active”), Radio, Internet, Mobile Platform, Social Media and other interactive media or electronic medium. The terms included in the following sections of these NARs define the conditions that apply to the broadcasting and transmission of Olympic Material by Non Rights Holder (NRH) news organisations.
