Over 30 years ago, the author of this book decreed silently prior to sleep at night that all his writings would be published in all modern languages. I didn’t lift a finger in trying to have it done. The wisdom of my subconscious responded and caused publishers in many countries to seek permission to translate my writings into their respective languages. Today many of my books are translated into French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Spanish. I visited all these countries, lectured there, and got an enthusiastic reception, making lifelong friends. I have revisited many of these countries since then and have conducted classes on mental and spiritual laws. I have appeared on radio and television, both here and abroad. You can use this Power wisely. It is no respecter of persons and will respond to you when you follow the procedures outlined in this book. The preceding is mentioned solely for the purpose of demonstrating how the wisdom of the Cosmic Energizer responds according to the nature of your request. As a general rule, I avoid making references to myself, but I believe these paragraphs will be of interest to many readers seeking a simple way to get answers from the Infinite Power within us all. In Chapter 2, you will read about a man born and reared in the ghetto with its attendant limitations. He heard a teacher explain how he could get all the money he needed, and he began to play a game in his mind imagining all the constructive ways he would utilize the money, as if he already had it. From time to time, he conducted inner conversations with himself on the wise use of the money. He carried a picture in his mind of graduating from college, opening his own business, traveling all over the world, sending worthy young people to college and paying their expenses. He won a scholarship, married a wealthy woman, graduated cum laude, opened his own business, and prospered in a magnificent way. He eventually retired as a multimillionaire. Likewise, you can discover in this book why money is simply a thought-image in your mind, and your inner speech can manifest all you want. In Chapter 1, you will read how a junior executive began to tap the wisdom of the Cosmic Energizer within him and advanced from $40,000 to $200,000 a year. He established a mental pattern in his mind and claimed definitely that the energy of the Infinite, passing through the pattern in his mind, would cause it to be engraved in his deeper mind. He made a habit of this, and one day while working at the bank, he was approached by a man who had conducted large transactions there. This man asked him to head his concern in Texas as financial advisor at a salary of $200,000. Read the complete episode about this man and you, too, will begin to discover the wonder-working power within yourself. The Cosmic Energizer is instantly available to you, and the only difference between one man rolling in wealth and another who can’t make ends meet, is that the wealthy man has tuned in to the Cosmic Energizer, either consciously or unconsciously, and it responds to him in avalanches of abundance.     JOHN CAGE’S ENTANGLEMENT WITH THE IDEAS OF COOMARASWAMY Edward James Crooks PhD University of York Music July 2011 John Cage’s Entanglement with the Ideas of Coomaraswamy by Edward Crooks Abstract The American composer John Cage was famous for the expansiveness of his thought. In particular, his borrowings from ‘Oriental philosophy’ have directed the critical and popular reception of his works. But what is the reality of such claims? In the twenty years since his death, Cage scholars have started to discover the significant gap between Cage’s presentation of theories he claimed he borrowed from India, China, and Japan, and the presentation of the same theories in the sources he referenced. The present study delves into the circumstances and contexts of Cage’s Asian influences, specifically as related to Cage’s borrowings from the British-Ceylonese art historian and metaphysician Ananda K. Coomaraswamy. In addition, Cage’s friendship with the Jungian mythologist Joseph Campbell is detailed, as are Cage’s borrowings from the theories of Jung. Particular attention is paid to the conservative ideology integral to the theories of all three thinkers. After a new analysis of the life and work of Coomaraswamy, the investigation focuses on the metaphysics of Coomaraswamy’s philosophy of art. The phrase ‘art is the imitation of nature in her manner of operation’ opens the doors to a wide- ranging exploration of the mimesis of intelligible and sensible forms. Comparing Coomaraswamy’s ‘Traditional’ idealism to Cage’s radical epistemological realism demonstrates the extent of the lack of congruity between the two thinkers. In a second chapter on Coomaraswamy, the extent of the differences between Cage and Coomaraswamy are revealed through investigating their differing approaches to rasa , the Renaissance, tradition, ‘art and life’, and museums.

Nature’s energy is readying the land for the explosion of new life. Growth is in the air! What an exuberant time of year! How blessed we are to be part of it! So what is happening in your life just now? What wants to bud, blossom, birth itself, by means of you? What is stirring in your mind and heart? Something most definitely is! Maybe more than one thing too. How are we responding to Nature’s call? Are we as ready, responsive and busy as the flowers and the birds? Are we moving upon the impulses to bring forth life in a new and surprising way, or not? Well the invitation is there for those of us who are ready for the spring birthing process. That which is stirring within us is the inner self’s desire to be more of itself by means of each one of us. Within us all is a capacity for greater life and living. We never have to remain just as we are, no matter how wonderful we are (or not so wonderful)! Life within us is always on the move.

    Your Forces and How to Use Them Christian D. Larson The Author Christian D. Larson was an outstanding and highly influential New Thought leader and teacher as well as a prolific writer of New Thought books who believed that people have tremendous latent powers, which could be harnessed for success with the proper attitude. A one time honorary president of the International New Thought Alliance, along with such stalwarts as W.W. Atkinson, Horatio Dresser, Charles Brodie Patterson, and Annie Rix Militz, he was one who exercised considerable influence over Religious Science founder, Ernest Holmes, in his early career. Holmes had been studying the Christian Science textbook, Science & Health, but was particularly impressed with the New Thought writings of Larson. According to Fenwicke he abandoned the Christian Science textbook for Larson's works. Ernest and his brother Fenwicke took a correspondence course with Larson, and in his biography of his brother, Ernest Holmes: His Life and Times, Fenwicke Holmes elaborates on the influence of Larson's thought on that of his brother. Here he ranks Ralph Waldo Trine's In Tune with the Infinite with Larson's The Ideal Made Real as influential on Holmes. The Optimist Creed was authored in 1912 by Christian D. Larson, appearing in his book Your Forces and How to Use Them. It was adopted as Optimist International's creed in 1922. Many have found inspiration in The Optimist Creed. In hospitals, the creed has been used to help patients recover from illness. In locker rooms, coaches have used it to motivate their players.
