The City of Flin Flon is located along the border of and . It is 743 kilometres northwest of in the Northern Region of Manitoba. The population of Flin Flon is based on the mining industry of rich deposits of zinc, copper, silver, and gold found in the area.

a n i t oThe b a City of Flin Flon is home to the Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Company, which operates several copper and zinc mines, a copper smelter and a world class zinc pressure leach facility. Besides the mining industry, the local economy also thrives on forestry, light manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, and retail. , M Flin Flon offers many attractions, including the Flin Flon Tourist Park, Baker’s Narrows Provincial Park, and the Flin Flon Museum. Another favourite destination is the Flinty Boardwalk, which surrounds the natural shoreline of Ross Lake.
