DIVISION OVERVIEW division is spread over 634.15 route kilometers with 113 stations that serves the states of and . Divisional jurisdiction extends from to station on mainline and from Udhna to Jalgaon (excluded) in Tapti Valley section. A small narrow gauge section exists from Billimora to Waghai (10 stations). HEALTH SCREENING FOR COVID-19

Screening for COVID-19 of passengers, Railway employees & others was done at Churchgate, Mumbai Central, , Andheri & Borivali stations for a period of one month by Namaste Health Under CSR. ISOLATION COACHES

Coach conversion into isolation coaches with a target of 85 coaches was planned and executed by 4 depots of Mumbai division namely Mumbai Central, Bandra, Surat & Valsad.

SAFETY FIRST

 400 banners of “ No Mask No Entry” displayed at Entry/Exit points of stations.  Safety gears - Cotton Masks, Hand Sanitizer, Liquid Soaps are provided to all frontline staff viz. Booking, Reservation, Ticket Checking, Parcel, Goods etc IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION OF SANITIZERS & MASK

 Departmental Preparation of Masks- 42000 numbers.  In-house production of 3136 litres of sanitizer. CORONA WARRIORS PAINTING

 Stress was laid on Main 06 TOOLS for management and breaking the cycle of transmission i.e Education, Contact tracing, Contact tracking, Quarantine,Testing & Treatment.

 Multilingual Posters displayed at Railway stations for educating and spreading awareness among staff and passengers.

 Daily screening of passengers done at Mumbai Central, Dadar, Bandra Terminus, Andheri, Borivali, Valsad, Nandurbar and Amalner.

 Passenger baggages sanitized from 01-06-2020 to 21-06-2020 (approximately 9500 baggages daily 24x7).

35 CCTV SURVEILLANCE PROVIDED

 For safety & Security of passengers, total 1283 CCTV cameras (Fixed: 1185; PTZ:98) were installed on Hiring basis at 30 stations between Churchgate - Virar Section & Surat Station (Total 31 Stations).

 Presently, these CCTV cameras on hiring basis are being discontinued after cameras under ISS work are made operational.

 RailTel have provided 116 cameras at 4 Stations viz. Vapi, Valsad, Navsari and Udhna stations under Nirbhaya Fund.

36 CCTV CCTV SURVEILLANCE (WORKS IN PROGRESS)

Integrated Security System on Mumbai Suburban Stations:  Total 2729 cameras will be installed at all 30 Stations of Churchgate-Virar Suburban section.

 Presently, CCTVs made functional at 15 stations. (Marine Lines, Charni Road, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, , Dadar, Matunga Road, Mahim, Bandra, Bandra Terminus, Vile Parle, Jogeshwari & Ram Mandir ).

 Contract for installation of 86 CCTVs at Surat station has been awarded on 18.09.2020

38 QUICK WATERING ARRANGEMENTS - VALSAD

SALIENT FEATURES  Automatic operation of the Pump.

 PLC controlled operation leads to optimum utilization of all pumps.

 Energy saving system.

 SCADA- generates useful data i.e., consumption of water, consumption of energy, efficiency of system.

 24 coach train can be filled in less than 05 minutes time. FACILITY AT VALSAD  Total 2200 m hydrant water pipe line ( 05 Platforms)

 Max discharge rate: 600 푀^3/hr

AUTOMATIC COACH WASHING PLANT

 Automatically senses train placement and automated external washing.

 60% less utilization of water for washing of coaches as compared with manual washing.

 Only 20% fresh water intake.

 80% of water used is recycled in each washing cycle.

 End-to-end cycle time for cleaning a train for 24 coaches: Maximum 20 minutes.

 Savings of 18 MLD per year water and monetary savings of 68 lakhs per year compared to Manual washing. STATION RE-DEVELOPMENT (UDVADA)

 Mumbai Division, Western Railway’s 125 years old UDVADA station revamped by upgrading old station building with new AC waiting halls, VIP rooms, newly built Reservation cum Booking Office, better toilet facilities for all, proper parking areas and making the station more accessible for Divyangjan.

 UDVADA is an important centre for Zoroastrians all over the world. STATION RE-DEVELOPMENT (VALSAD)

 In this campaign, RPF/MSF staff dressed like “YAMRAJ” caught hold of trespassing defaulter and counseled them.

 Conducted in Nov-19, Feb 20 & Sep 20.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLANT

 2 ton Solid waste management plant installed at Bandra Terminus station under CSR activity.  The compost generated is organic and being used in gardens, Road divider and other suitable places. 97 EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT – JRH

 Effluent Treatment Plant has been set up at Jagjivan Ram Hospital which is first among hospitals in Indian Railways.

Effluent Treatment Plant of 1 million litres per day capacity commissioned on 31.08.2020 with cost of Rs 5.79 Crores SOLAR BASED BIO-GAS SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLANT

 Bios gas plant with processing capacity of up to 500 kgs of organic waste per day. The garbage from Housekeeping of BCT station ,Base kitchen,terminating trains staff, canteen, catering units and food plaza is being sent to this Bio gas plant for the disposal.

ISO CERTIFICATION OF STATIONS

 All 39 NGT nominated stations of Mumbai division, have been certified ISO 14001 compliant thus complying part of order no OA 141/2014 regarding ISO 14001 certification of all NSG 1-4 and SG 1-2 stations of IR.
