And the machine is getting better every day that we had great expectation for the Ebisu D1GP. But we couldn’t get the podium and were tried and tested.

4th HKS 86 at Ebisu was much lighter and more powerful than Round before. Since was exempted from the elimination and started from the final. In the 1st run, Nob made a deep angle from the last corner and couldn’t hold the drift long enough and made a small drift in the next line. 2nd run, he made a narrow drift in the last corner and couldn’t make the Match Drift tournament. After the loss of the 4th round HKS D1 team made a decision to change the specification of the machine for next day.

5th As for the result of the 4th round, HKS 86 made changes like Round higher boost by change in supercharger pulley ratio, high gear for last gear and take off the rear wing. We wanted to have more power for the last corner to have lasting drift to the end of the wall. We also had risk of damaging the engine and supercharger, peaky machine movement and less harmony between the machine and the driver. First of the sole drift, Nob attacked into the beginning drift but couldn’ t keep it to the end of the corner. And for the 2nd drive, Nob did well till the last corner, as the machine specification change caused him a half-spin which dropped HKS 86 out of the tornament. So now we have a new subject to overcome and win the next D1GP in Centrair.

6th For D1GP 6th round in Centrair, HKS 86 has set back to Round the less power and rear wing of earlier version and also to prevent the spinning, we have adjusted the Front steering angle. For the test drive, Nob made a great drift. For the 1st sole run, he made a cool drift at the first corner and in the next corner for some reason 86 made a half-spin. And now the 2nd and last sole run Nob drove too carefully that he didn’t make any big mistake he also didn’t get enough point to pass the tournament. Nob had special minor match race with Manabu Orido, but once again he spun and could not get points. There is a problem we have to solve of rear grip problem which caused many spinning in this race.
