Pn 1874 Joseph wimpy, the oldest son of the Major, married Pmma H, Spang le when she was but seventeen srears of age. Bell Wimpy, a daughter of the Major, married a Mr, King and thes1- moved to Spokane Palls, -&mma H. Spangle was bom in Illinois, 22 March 1858, She married Joseph Wimpy in 1874. Rer daughter, Mrs, Miiiie w0uchman lives at Spok­ ane, her oldest son is in California, her youngest son Pari is in Spokane, wimpy's wife died and he married a second time.

24 November 1929 John 0. Davenport was bom in Pew York in 1830. After some years he found his way to Colfax, Washington, where he located in 1873. Prior to that time however, he had married Sarah A. Miner of 1884 g old rush dies 11 DeCember 1929- Ihomas Cusick, age 90 7- years, taken at S0ldiers Home, he came to M^rrs country in 1884. He died recently at the Soldiers Home near D0s Angeles, California,

M r and Mrs Gottfried Steitraan celebrated their ^olden Wedding on their home at Five-mile Prairie. Mr Steitman is 79 and his wife is 70. Poth are natives of Saxony, Germany, Five daughters, one son, and several grandchildren, and two great grandchildren were present, fPhey were married 10 November 1879, Ihe daughters and sons-in-law att­ ending were % and Mrs Anton Held, Mr & mrs Bruce Albright, *r & "re 3. M p. Priggs, Mr and Mrs Stanley of Spokane, r & Mrs George Redlin, of 13 Dishman, and Pudolph ^teitman, the only son, and Mrs Stietman also of this city. Mrs. L. C. ^uno, a sixth daughter, of Page, N.D. could not attend. There are 18 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children in the family.

Davis, Palou.se pioneer, left ^gland when quite a young man and came to America, settling first in Ohio, ^ere he met a Pennsylvania girl who became his wife. After some years in the Puck-eye °tate they moved to Wisconsin. Here they spent several years, then they moved to Washington, about 14 miles north of C0lfax, This was in 1876. eleven Children were bom to them. An hut four are now dead. Of those now living, oharles resides at the old home place. Ihe Youngest girl, Lottie, now Mrs Pindley, with her large family resides at Pnterprise, Oregon. iars Mary Ann (Davis) Martin lives in Spokane. Mr Davis died in 1896 at the age of 81. A The last named daughter, Mary nn, married George W. Martin in 1887 and settled in Oakesdale, here their two children were bom. °ames and -^dna, now Mrs. Demitz, both live in Spokane, she has three grandchildren, all boys
