HBO announces new seasons for their successful series ENTOURAGE 6 and BIG LOVE 4 Miami, January 13th, 2010. - HBO Latin America announced that this upcoming January 24th 2010 would mark the beginning of the 4th season of its controversial, Emmy and 2010 Golden Globe Award nominated series, Big Love. Additionally, on February 4th, HBO will be premiering the sixth season of the famous, multiple Emmy award-winning and Golden Globe nominated series, Entourage.A 2010 Golden Globe nominee for Best Comedy and for Best Supporting Actor, Jeremy Piven from Entourage returns to the screen along with the young and charismatic actor Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), who continues to enjoy being a Hollywood celebrity along with his 3 inseparable, childhood friends: his manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), his half-brother Drama (Kevin Dillon) and the naive Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), as well as his superstar entertainment agent Ari (Jeremy Piven’s character) and his assistant Lloyd (Rex Lee).During the course of one of the wittiest and most emotional seasons to date, Eric professes his love for Sloan, Drama continues questioning his life’s true purpose and Ari keeps growing his business. Finally and well deserved, Lloyd’s professional career takes off. Meanwhile, Turtle and Jamie Lynn overcome obstacles in their romance. The series consists of 12 episodes, each one 25 minutes long, and guest stars actor David Schwimmer, football star Tom Brady, actor Bob Saget, and famous comedian Jay Leno, among others.The upcoming fourth season of the fun and controversial series, Big Love, nominated at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards for Best Dramatic Series, Best Lead Actor (Bill Paxton) and Best Supporting Actress (Chloë Sevigny), promises to continue offering viewers a juicy plot which questions the values of marriage through an uncommon family from Salt Lake City. The main cast is composed of Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) and his three wives: Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) and Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin).Big Love, consisting of nine episodes, returns with new personal and professional challenges for Bill, who must balance the needs of his three wives, nine children, three homes, and his business ambitions. The new season will also feature the participation of Oscar Award Winning Actress Sissy Spacek, who will play a powerful lobbyist from Washington DC.Both shows have managed to position themselves favorably with the HBO subscribers in Latin America, and for this reason they have succeeded in broadcasting a fourth and even a sixth season, such as is the case with Entourage. Revenue is also the most important and intuitionistic feedback to producers, directors and actors. Therefore it is worth for us to put effort on analyzing what factors correlate to revenue, so that producers, directors and actors know how to get higher revenue on next movie by focusing on most correlated factors. Our project focuses on anaylzing all kinds of factors that correlated to revenue, for example, genres, elements in the movie, popularity, release month, runtime, vote average, vote count on website and cast etc. After analysis, we can clearly know what are the crucial factors to a movie's revenue and our analysis can be used as a guide for people shooting movies who want to earn higher renveue for their next movie. They can focus on those most correlated factors, for example, shooting specific genre and hire some actors who have higher average revenue. Representing History The Pianist To Kill A King Why use film? History is currently `in vogue’ with the media. Documentaries cover the five terrestrial channels, historical non-fiction tops the best selling charts and Simon Schama, Michael Wood and David Starkey are now superstar presenters. Time Team and Restoration positively encourage us to take a `hands on’ approach – we can now affect what happens to our heritage directly. Historical films are also as popular as ever, with Pirates of the Caribbean currently topping the UK Box Office (although historians may argue exactly which historical period it is from!) and there are still many costume drama classics that draw in audiences across the world. Films that attempt to show history are sometimes derided by historians and critics for their lack of accuracy and sometimes hilariously bad casting - John Wayne as Genghis Khan anyone? However, if we view historical films as documents to begin an investigation, and if we look at how the film itself works, as well as examining how it purports to tell us about the past, the result can be a rewarding and enjoyable journey. STEEL MAGNOLIAS Artistic Team ROBERT HARLING (Playwright) made his directorial debut with The Evening Star for Paramount, which he also wrote for the screen based on Larry McMurty’s novel. The Evening Star reunited Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson and co-stars Juliette Lewis, Bill Paxton, Scott Wolf, Miranda Richardson, and Marion Ross. The Evening Star is the continuation of one of the most beloved and acclaimed movies of our time, Terms of Endearment. Before launching a successful stage and screenwriting career, Robert graduated from Tulane University School of Law, but instead of taking the bar exam, he opted to become an actor in New York. After years of productive work as an actor in voiceovers and commercials, Harling was inspired to write the highly acclaimed stage play Steel Magnolias, which was based on events from his personal life. Steel Magnolias continues to thrive in theatrical productions throughout the world. Immediately bridging a career from stage to screen, Harling adapted his original play into the popular film of the same title, which starred Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Dolly Parton, and Daryl Hannah. Over the years, Mr. Harling has become a much sought-after screenwriter: other credits, to name a few, include Soapdish, which was based on Harling’s acting experience and starred Sally Field, Whoopi Goldberg, and Robert Downey Jr., and First Wives Club for Paramount, starring Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, and Diane Keaton.
