Subsequently, on the 6th of O ctober,l964, the liAS Society was registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860. Dr Zakir Hussain, Vice-President oflndia, was its first President and M.C. Chagla, U nion Minister of Education, its first Vice-President. Professor Niharranjan Ray was chosen to be the first Director of the Institute. An Abstract of the article in about 150 words must accompany the papers. The length of research papers shall be between 5000 and 7000 words. However, short notes, perspectives and lengthy papers will be published if the contents could justify. Notes should be placed at the end of the text and their location in the text marked by superscript Arabic Numerals. References should be cited within the text in parenthesis. Example: (Sen 2003:190) Bibliography should be placed at the end of the text and must be complete in all respects. Examples: 1. Hoffmann, Steven (1990): India and the China Crisis, Oxford University Press, Delhi. 2. All articles are, as a rule, referred to experts in the subjects concerned. Those recommended by the referees alone will be published in the Journal after appropriate editing.     Towards Quality Assurance in Reader Services... 10th International CABLIBER 2015 Towards Quality Assurance in Reader Services in a Digital Era: A Case Study of Himachal Pradesh University Library Readers Survey Kruti Trivedi Dinesh Kumar Sharma Prem Chand PK Ahluwalia Abstracts This study presented was undertaken, to determine the quality of availability and usage of library services by users at Himachal Pradesh University, at the behest of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University. The main goal of this study was to pave way for assuring the quality of library services and to initiate improvement of services through administrative action where scope of improvement is indicated by the analysis of the data. Data were collected using well-framed questionnaire, based on Delphi method, from 192 users of library including teachers, research scholars, post graduate students and under graduate students. Findings indicate that the majority of the users are satisfied with the reader services provided by library. It was found that users lack awareness about availability of e-resources in the library However, training and guidance in the use of library resources particularly e-resources and services is necessary to help users to meet their requirements and aspirations to march ahead in the digital world.
