    June 29, 2012 Sony Corporation INVESTOR GROUP INCLUDING SONY CORPORATION OF AMERICA COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF EMI MUSIC PUBLISHING New York, June 29, 2012 -- Sony Corporation of America, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation, made the announcement noted above. For further detail, please refer to the attached English press release. Upon the closing of this transaction, Sony Corporation of America, in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, acquired approximately 40 percent of the equity interest in the newly-formed entity that now owns EMI Music Publishing from Citigroup, and paid an aggregate cash consideration of 320 million U.S. dollars. The impact of this acquisition has already been included in Sony’s consolidated results forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013 that was announced on May 10, 2012. No impact from this acquisition is anticipated on such forecasts.     Boots launches Christmas TV advert featuring the Sugababes Submitted by: pr-sending-enterprises Tuesday, 18 November 2008 Boots' Christmas TV advert from 2007 won an industry Gold Award in The Campaign Magazine Big Awards. The company has now launched this year's seasonal advert, and it features the Sugababes' hit single 'Girls'. In 2007 the Boots (http://www.boots.com/) TV advert gave real insight into the lengthy preparations women make when getting ready for that all-important Christmas party. The music that accompanied it was 'Here Come the Girls' by Ernie K Doe, originally a hit in the 1970s. This year, Boots' new Christmas advert celebrates the art of choosing great gifts for your colleagues this season. The advert shows Boots knows that women want to get it right, finding the perfect present at a price they can afford. Boots has teamed up with the Sugababes, the UK's biggest girl band, for this year’s campaign. The advert features the trio’s recent single 'Girls', which includes a sample of 'Here Come the Girls' by Ernie K Doe. The Sugababes feel-good single has been selling fast in selected Boots stores across the nation, and Boots has matched the 10p donation to the White Ribbon Alliance for every copy it has rung through its tills. The theme of the song reflects the feminine traits highlighted in the advert. Set in an office, viewers will see women making lists, lovingly wrapping presents, and even offering themselves up as gifts in a bid to ensure they give the perfect 'Secret Santa' present.

    DVD REVIEW: SCISSOR SISTERS LIVE IN VICTORIA PARK, LONDON Missed that summer feeling? Feeling a little blue? Then this one is for you. by Professor Ball | 23rd January 2013 ★★★★★ The epically flamboyant Scissor Sisters are easily one of the greatest, with their disco rock sounds and alternative sense of style that few can pull off. It was back in 2004 that the Scissor Sisters really made headway in the UK with their debut album, gaining them three BRIT Awards in 2005. But their success didn't stop there. Notable collaborations with Kylie and Elton John have made this outrageously camp band into one with continual renewal and vivacity. The DVD is certainly a must have, a colourful explosion of music, love and sexual desire. Jake is guaranteed to raise temperatures of every guy in the audience in his tight rubber trousers and wildly suggestive moves. From the opening it quickly reignited my lost love for them, turning up the volume to full capacity. Classics such as Take Your Mama and Filthy/Gorgeous gave that beautiful nostalgic feeling as the soundtrack of past summers. These were thrown into the mix of the more recent singles to create one huge fetish fest. Throughout there just didn't seem to be any low points, with superb vocals and musical arrangements, and an energy that can only be described as music on steroids. And as if that wasn't enough, the two bonus tracks bring an additional climax to the whole show. No anti-climax here - it is a pulse throbbing sensation the whole way.
